“Your brother?” Nina raised her eyes, giving the girl in front of her a quick once-over.

She didn’t know much about Ryan’s family.

The girl scoffed, her tone dripping with sarcasm. “Of course, you’re up to something shady. People like you think you can just waltz into the Foster family and start scheming? Did you even bother to check who lives here before you came?”

“Listen up, I’m Sophia, the Foster family’s heiress. I don’t care what tricks you’re playing, but get out of my house right now. My brother would never be interested in someone like you,” she said.

Nina frowned.

She’d never been the patient type.

But since this was Ryan’s sister, she bit back her annoyance and said, “Grandma Maria invited me.”

Sophia paused, then her eyes widened in disbelief. “Wait, you’re Nina? The one my grandparents and parents are always going on about?”

‘If everyone’s so into her, she must be something special,’ Sophia thought to herself.

But looking at Nina now, Sophia couldn’t see anything impressive, aside from her looks.

‘Seriously, what do Mom and Dad see in her?’ Sophia wondered.

‘Wait, could it be…?’ Sophia’s thoughts spun.

Sophia’s face darkened. “Did you manipulate my brother somehow, so my parents had no choice but to like you?”

“Look at you, you don’t have a shred of class. You can’t even hold a candle to Claire. And you actually had the nerve to show up here uninvited!” she said.

Sophia’s eyes were full of contempt for Nina.

After all, in Sophia’s eyes, Claire and Ryan were childhood sweethearts, and she’d always treated Sophia well. Claire was gorgeous, came from a great family, and always knew how to dress to impress.

She’d already made it into the Betrico Zenith Research Institute at such a young age, published countless papers, and was the most sought-after chief physician at the hospital.

Nina lifted her eyes slightly, her gaze full of malice.

Sophia lifted her chin, her voice cutting. “Why are you staring at me like that? Are you thinking of starting something with me? Do you even know whose house this is? You really think you can throw your weight around here?”

Nina finally lost it.

Nina coolly withdrew her hand, her eyes cold. “Guess the Foster family never taught you any manners. Let me show you how it’s done.”

Sophia was stunned, clutching her cheek and staring in disbelief. You… you actually hit me?”

“Someone, grab her!” Sophia yelled furiously.

The next instant, several servants heard the commotion and hurried to surround Nina. Yet how could they possibly stand against her?

In less than two minutes, the staff were all sprawled on the floor.

Sophia was in shock. “You… you really dared to throw hands in the Foster family’s house?”

Nina closed in on her, step by step, her vibe downright intimidating.

Nina stared at Sophia, her face cold as ice. “Be glad you’re Ryan’s sister. Try messing with me again, and I’ll make sure you can’t walk out of here.”

The sheer intensity of Nina’s presence sent a chill down Sophia’s spine. She instinctively stepped back, but her ankle twisted and she lost her balance, crashing to the floor.

Sophia let out a sharp cry.

She grabbed her ankle, glaring at Nina with burning anger. “Nina This is the Fosters’ house. Don’t get too cocky!”

Nina gave Sophia a frosty, dismissive glance. “If you can’t keep that mouth shut, I don’t care whose sister you are; I’ll make sure you can’t talk again.”

Ryan hadn’t reached out in days, and Nina’s nerves were already shot.

She was only holding herself back because Sophia was Ryan’s sister.

But that didn’t mean she’d let Sophia push her around.

“Hmph! I’ll say whatever I want,” Sophia started, but before she could finish, she looked up and locked eyes with Nina.

Nina’s gaze was like something straight out of a nightmare, so scary it made Sophia freeze on the spot.

Her words got stuck, and she just choked them down, too freaked out to keep talking.
