After a moment, Martial Artist A spoke up. “Wasn’t she supposed to be tough? How did she get knocked out with just one punch?”
Martial Artist B glared at Martial Artist C. “What the hell? Didn’t he boss say he wanted her alive? Why’d you go and kill her?”
Martial Artist C looked completely dumbfounded. “I barely used any force. I only went half strength, tops.”
He really had only used half his strength.
They wanted to capture her alive, but Nina’s fighting style was deadly and unpredictable; every move was meant to kill.
Even though he was sure of his own skills, he was worried that dealing with Nina’s lethal style might end up backfiring on him, so he went ahead and threw a punch at her.
He never thought someone as fierce as Nina would get finished off with just one punch.
Martial Artist C hesitated for a moment, then said, “I don’t think she’s dead. The boss kept warning us over and over to be careful with her. If even he has to be cautious around her, she can’t be that easy to take out, right?”
Martial Artist A and Martial Artist B exchanged glances, then moved over to Nina and felt for her breath under her nose.
They both breathed a sigh of relief at the same time.
‘Whew, she’s still alive, one of them thought.
‘She’s not dead, the other echoed inwardly.
Seeing this, Martial Artist C hurriedly said, “Since she’s still alive let’s hurry and take her back; the boss is waiting for us.”
So the three of them picked Nina up and carried her off.

Meanwhile, after Simon had gotten Zaire to safety, he was just about to reach out to Nina when Sean came rushing back.
Simon’s face fell. “Why are you back alone? Where’s Nina?”
Sean lowered his head. “We got chased by some martial artists. Nina told me to get out of there first.”
Simon’s mind went blank for a moment, then he snapped. “You just bailed on Nina and left her to handle those guys alone?”
Sean was already eaten up with guilt, and now, with Simon tearing into him, the tough guy broke down crying. “It’s all my fault. I swear, if anything happens to Nina, I don’t want live either!”
Simon’s face was dark with anger. “What’s the point of you dying Is that gonna bring Nina back?”
Sean kept his head down, not saying a word.
Simon was pissed just looking at him. “What are you standing around for? Hurry up and take us back to Nina!”
Sean looked up, hesitating. “But Nina told us to find Ryan first.”
Simon froze. “Ryan’s back?”

“Black Wolf said Ryan was seriously hurt, they couldn’t save him so they sent him back for Nina to try. He was brought back yesterday, but still hasn’t woken up. I’ve had someone check the helicopter’s flight info, but there’s still no news,” Sean said.
Simon’s brows furrowed. “He left yesterday and still hasn’t arrive. He must’ve run into trouble.”
“So what do we do now? Should we go look for Ryan first, or…” Sean asked.
Simon thought for a moment, then gritted his teeth. “We go back, Nina up.”
He knew how much Ryan mattered to Nina.
But to him, Nina mattered just as much.
He didn’t care what happened to Ryan; losing Nina was not an option.
Even if Nina blamed him for it, he wouldn’t regret his choice.
Nina was the one who gave him a second chance at life, so he’d do whatever it took to keep her safe.
Simon didn’t waste a second; he took Patrick and Sean and rushed straight to the Betrico outskirts.
But when they got there, the place was deserted, not a soul in sight.
Simon’s face was stormy as he turned to Sean. “Are you sure this is the right spot?”
Sean was freaking out, feeling like he’d just screwed up big time.
He blurted out, “This is definitely the spot! After we picked up the goods, there were snipers and a bunch of martial artists around. But… how come there’s nobody here now?”
Simon was so pissed that he smacked Sean on the head. “Isn’t it obvious? Nina’s in trouble!”
Simon was so furious that he could’ve killed Sean.
