Heiress Returns Family Shocks (Nina Swanson) novel Chapter 452

Chapter 452

She couldn’t believe Scarlet would betray them.

‘No. I refuse to believe it,’ Nina insisted to herself.

Out of nowhere!

Nina narrowed her eyes, fixing her gaze on a tree about 150 feet away.

Just for a split second, a glint of light flashed across her face.

It lasted less than a heartbeat, but she caught it; there was a sniper hidden in the tree.

Nina shifted her position without giving anything away and whispered to Sean, “Three o’clock and five o’clock. Take care of them.”

Sean might not have stuck to Nina like glue the way Simon did, but he was trained by Nina herself.

The second Nina spoke up, he picked up on the tension in the air.

Without batting an eye, he gave Nina a quick nod and began to shift his position slowly.

They’d started out standing side by side, but before they knew it, they’d ended up a few steps apart without even realizing it.

“Now!” Nina commanded.

The moment the word left her lips, she shot forward like an arrow released from a bow.

She moved so fast that the sniper across the way didn’t even have time to aim before she was already up in the tree, nimble as a monkey.

The sniper finally snapped out of it and tried to fire, but he was just a beat too slow.

His finger was barely on the trigger when Nina sent a silver needle flying straight into his neck.

This time, Nina didn’t hesitate; she went straight for his carotid artery, no mercy at all.

When the sniper hit the ground, his eyes were wide open, dying with that look of shock still on his face.

He couldn’t wrap his head around how Nina had found him, even though he thought he was perfectly hidden.

But he never got the answer; he died without ever knowing why

Once Nina finished off the sniper, she dashed straight toward the ones attacking Sean.

The ones going after Sean were way tougher to handle than that sniper.

They were all fighters trained in ancient martial arts.

And Nina could sense that these martial artists were even more formidable than the one who used to follow Wylder around.

Sean didn’t even get a chance to make a move before he was sent flying by a single punch.

Nina narrowed her eyes. As Sean was about to hit the ground, she caught him and said, “Get out of here, now.”

Sean’s expression shifted. “Boss, I…”

Chapter 452

Before Sean could finish, Nina cut him off, her voice low and firm. “You’ll just distract me if you stay.”

Sean lowered his head, frustration washing over him.

He was supposed to be the one protecting his boss, but now it was the other way around.

‘I’m such a failure,’ he thought bitterly.

Nina didn’t have time to worry about what Sean was thinking. She cut straight to the chase. “Get in touch with Simon right now. Mobilize everyone, do whatever it takes, and bring Ryan back to me.”

Sean glanced at Nina, wanting to say something, but in the end, he just nodded. “Yes, I’ll do it right away.”

He wanted to stay and help Nina.

But Nina was right, if he stuck around, he’d just end up distracting her.

These guys might be tough, but Nina was a master of pressure points; she could totally take them on.

Right now, finding Ryan ASAP was all that mattered.

Once Sean left, Nina didn’t waste a second; she launched herself straight at the ancient martial artists.

There were three of them this time.

Not a big group.

But each one was a one-man army, able to take on a hundred by themselves.

Even facing one was tough for Nina; dealing with all three at once was nearly impossible.

Seeing the odds stacked against her, Nina flung a handful of silver needles and bolted, trying to escape.

But the nearest fighter slammed a fist straight into her stomach.

With just that one blow, Nina crumpled to the ground, completely unconscious.
