Veda was at a loss for words.

Nina put her silver needles away and turned to Veda. “I’m taking Ryan and the others with me. What are you going to do?”

Veda replied with a heavy sigh, “What can I do? This is my fate. Girls in Phoenix Village are stuck here for life, just having kids and raising families”

Veda had no idea how many kids she’d be forced to have.
