“As a friend, if you ever needed help, I’d do everything I could to save you, just like I’d do for Ryan, even if it meant risking my own life,” Nina said, looking Vincent straight in the eye.

“But Ryan is the one I love. If you hurt him, we’re done. And if he dies because of you, I swear I’ll kill you myself,” she added.

“Whatever,” Nina replied, her voice frosty.

Vincent had been fixated on this for a decade. Nothing Nina said could change his mind.

As long as Ryan’s life wasn’t at risk, she didn’t care what those two did.

After a pause, Vincent suddenly remembered something and asked, “Why did you think I was the one who kidnapped her last time?”

“Ryan’s report showed your first batch of serum was already being used. Since Scarlet was the one who created it, I naturally thought you guys had taken her captive,” Nina replied.

Vincent scoffed, “You mean that batch? It was a total failure. God knows where Grandpa dug up that research team. They just churned out a bunch of duds.”

Nina couldn’t help but smirk. “So if he really pulls off cloning people, what are you going to do about it?”

She’d definitely report it to the government.

The Sherman family’s going to be in hot water then.
