Iris paused for a moment, then said, “Okay, I’ll wait.”

Nina and Ryan left the hospital room.

Once the door shut behind them, Nina paused, her gaze flickering as she stared at the closed door.

She kept quiet, got in the car with Ryan, and they drove off.

Ryan was still recovering from his injuries, so Nina took the wheel while he sat shotgun.

“Something’s off about Iris,” Ryan said, unhurried.

“Yeah,” Nina replied, a cold, dangerous vibe radiating from her.

Iris was a few years older than Nina, and when Nina first joined scarlet, Iris was already by her side.

Scarlet had plenty of people around her, but Iris was the one she was closest to.

Iris was Scarlet’s most trusted sister, hands down.

It wasn’t just Scarlet who trusted Iris. Nina did, too.

Ryan’s expression was icy. He said, “Scarlet was likely already controlled before you returned to the Swansons. After that, it was Iris impersonating her and handling all contact with the orgnization,”
