Heiress Returns Family Shocks (Nina Swanson) novel Chapter 510

Chapter 510

Meanwhile, Ryan’s injuries had healed up. After he and Nina qui their jobs, they found themselves with plenty of free time.

Nina was getting ready to operate on Felix.

Felix’s injuries were just as bad as Ryan’s.

But after Nina finished Ryan’s surgery, her energy had gotten a lot stronger. So when she treated Felix, she didn’t feel drained at all.

During the surgery, Ryan stayed with Nina throughout, just in case she felt off and needed backup.

Once Nina finished stitching up Felix’s wounds, she had Russell and the others take him out of the operating room.

As she took off her surgical gown, Nina said to Ryan, “Felix might have some energy in him as well.”

Ryan looked up, asking, “Can you sense it?”

Nina shook her head, replying, “No, but when I was operating on him, I noticed his injuries were way better than the last time I saw him. And during the surgery, his wounds were actually healing up on their own.”

Even though Felix was healing slowly, Nina could still notice the difference.

Ryan paused for a moment and asked, “Do you think it has something to do with the parasites?”

Nina answered, “Probably. But the King Parasite I bred in Phoenix Village isn’t the same as the Lifesaver Parasite. The ones I bred didn’t have that kind of effect.”

She was just thinking that if the Lifesaver Parasite could produce energy, she could breed more and let her people use them.

She was also trying to figure out other ways to use this energy.

That way, next time they had to go up against the Ancient Martial Clans, they wouldn’t be at such a disadvantage.

After all, not everyone knew how to use acupuncture needles to lock energy points.

When facing the Ancient Martial Clans, her people could easily get held back.

Ryan put his arm around Nina’s waist, saying, “If we can’t breed them, let’s just leave it for now. Let’s focus on our wedding first.”

Even though their wedding was part of a bigger plan, Ryan was 1oking forward to it more than anyone.

Nina smirked, asking, “Why so eager?”

“Of course I am,” Ryan said. “I’m just worried the longer we wait, the more trouble might pop up.”

After all, he wasn’t the only one with his eyes on Nina.

Nina handed her surgical gown to a nurse nearby and walked out with Ryan. She said, “My grandma called. Maria and the rest have gone to Riverdale to talk about the wedding gifts.”

Nina gave Ryan a sly smile, asking, “So, how much are you planing to put up for the wedding gifts?”

Ryan handed her his wallet without a second thought. He said, “l my bank cards are in here, and I’ve already signed over all my assets to you. Nina, everything I own is yours. This is my Wedding gift for you.”

Nina smirked and handed the wallet back to Ryan. She replied, “The elders from both families have already settled on the wedding gifts. It’s 300 thousand.”

Maria actually wanted to give 300 million.

Of course, Maria felt that even 300 million couldn’t show how much they cared about Nina.

But the wedding gifts had to be paid in cash.

They figured they could pull out 300 million in cash right now.

But since weddings are all about good luck, they settled on 200 million.

But Sarah turned it down.

In Sarah’s eyes, the Foster family was loaded, but Nina wasn’t exactly short on cash either.

What mattered most to both families was that Nina and Ryan were together. The wedding should be grand, but the wedding gifts were just a formality.

Not having wedding gifts just wasn’t an option.

After all, that was just how things were done.

It couldn’t be too little, either.

But if it was too much, it would look like they were selling their granddaughter.

So after thinking it over, Sarah decided on 300 thousand for the wedding gifts, to keep things auspicious.

Ryan frowned, saying, “Three hundred thousand? Seriously? That’s it? I don’t agree.”

Ryan thought Nina deserved the absolute best, nothing less.

Nina grabbed his collar, yanked him forward, and hooked a finger under his chin. She said, “I’m marrying you, not your money.”

She was never short on cash; what she really needed was love.

She wanted someone whose whole world revolved around her.
