Chapter 610 The Report
One of them had been the storage button Cyrus always carried with him.
The other had been purchased at the farm.

Every inch of space inside both storage buttons had been packed full of strawberries, apples, watermelons, cantaloupes, napa cabbage, leafy greens, cucumbers, tomatoes, and enormous Cluckoo Eggs.
Thinking back to the shopping spree he had just gone on, Cyrus felt like he had completely lost his mind.
When he had arrived, he had brought detection equipment, recording devices, and a false identity, with his mind focused entirely on finding clues about the missing Swarmborn.
Now that he was leaving, he was carrying two storage buttons filled with farm produce.
Leo walked over, and he also had two storage buttons hanging around his neck. They held even more produce than Cyrus’s.
That was because Leo’s storage buttons weren’t taking up space with all kinds of detection equipment.
“Captain Bramble, I’ve already divided everything into two equal portions. One share is for my mom after we get home. Her mental power has been pretty unstable lately.”
Leo was the youngest member of the team, only 25 years old. He had served in the Fifth Military for three years and had always thought of himself as a tough guy.
But when he said those words, his voice carried an almost reverent sense of care, as though he were holding an unimaginable treasure.
Cyrus looked at him, then glanced at the others.
Cullen Barrow had bought a large number of apples, saying they were for his younger brother, whose mental power had been damaged.
Lawrence Holloway had bought a huge supply of strawberries so his wife could try them. She had been suffering from insomnia lately.
Even Dorian Hawke, who was usually the toughest and most stubborn of them all, had secretly filled an entire storage button with tomatoes while trying to act as though nobody noticed.

Cyrus said nothing. He boarded the spaceship first, found a seat in the corner, took out his device, and began writing his report.
He stared at the blank document for a long time. He wrote. He deleted. He wrote again. In the end, only a few short lines remained.
No signs of Swarmborn activity or residual evidence were found within the farm.
Farm operations were normal. No abnormalities observed.
Recommendation: Suspend any further action for the time being.
He didn’t mention the fruits and vegetables. He didn’t mention Silas. He didn’t mention the strange feeling beneath the grape trellis, where his mind had suddenly become unusually clear.
Those things were impossible to explain. Even if he wrote them down, no one would believe him.
He pressed the send button, shut off his device, and leaned back in his seat.
Outside the window stretched the grayish–brown sky of Planet A001. In the distance lay a broad patch of green, the farm’s orchards and fields, glowing softly beneath the sunlight.
“Captain Bramble,” Leo said quietly as he sat down beside him. “This stuff really works.”
He held a strawberry in his hand but still couldn’t bring himself to eat it. Instead, he kept turning it over in his palm as though searching it for some kind of magical mark.
“We’ve only been eating food from the farm for three days, but I can already feel that dull ache in my head easing up a little. If we could eat this every day…”
Cyrus didn’t answer.
He knew Leo was telling the truth.
He had felt it himself.
Over the past several years, his mental power had steadily deteriorated. Although it hadn’t reached the point of collapse, the constant pressure in his head had always felt like a wet cloth wrapped tightly around his skull, something he could neither shake off nor ease.
But over the past two days, after eating a few strawberries and an apple each day, that constant pressure really had begun to fade.

He even suspected that if he stayed here for an entire month, a large portion of his mental power might actually recover.
“Captain Bramble,” Leo whispered even more quietly, “do you think we’ll be able to come back someday?”
Cyrus was silent for a while. “Let’s wait until things settle down.”
He paused. “For now, make what we’ve got last as long as possible. We can think about the rest after we’ve finished it.”
Leo nodded and carefully placed the strawberry back into his storage button.
Cyrus said nothing more and closed his eyes, pretending to rest.
In reality, he was already calculating how to divide up everything inside those two storage buttons, how to ration it so it would last as long as possible, and what legitimate excuse he could come up with to visit the farm again after it was gone.
He even began wondering whether regular visits might actually restore more of his mental
power.
Perhaps when he retired one day, he would no longer have to spend the rest of his life in a rehabilitation center.
That thought quietly planted itself in his heart like a seed taking root.
The spaceship lifted off, passed through the atmosphere, and entered interstellar space.
Outside the window, the grayish–brown planet grew farther and farther away, becoming smaller and smaller until it was nothing more than a tiny blurred dot before disappearing into the endless darkness.
