Chapter 611 Worth the Trip
“What did you buy? Why is there so much?”
Cyrus changed into his slippers and set the bag on the dining table.

It was an ordinary reusable shopping bag, light green in color, with no logo or brand name on it.
He opened the bag and began taking the contents out one item at a time.
The first thing he pulled out was a box of strawberries. There were 12 of them, each one bright red, plump, and glistening under the lights.
The moment the box of strawberries came out, a rich, sweet fragrance spread through the air, as though something invisible had instantly filled the entire room.
“Wow!” An excited voice came from the living room.
Cyrus’s mother, Ivy Bramble, had been sitting on the couch sorting vegetables. The instant the aroma reached her, she put the vegetables down, stood up, and walked over.
“What is that? Why does it smell so good?”
Cyrus’s father, Nolan Bramble, had been sitting in a recliner on the balcony reading the news on his device. He caught the scent too, put down the device, and leaned inside.
“What is that? It smells amazing.” The two children couldn’t hold back either.
Cyrus’s older daughter, Zara Bramble, was nine years old and had been doing her homework in her room. As soon as she smelled it, she ran out.
His younger son, Maxwell Bramble, was only six. He lifted his head from his pile of toys, twitched his nose a few times like a little hunting dog, and followed the scent into the dining
room.
“Dad! What yummy food did you bring home?”
Smiling, Cyrus handed him the box of strawberries. “Try these first. They were just picked at the farm, so they’re as fresh as they come.”
He hadn’t even had time to wash them before the box was opened.
Zara picked up one, took a careful little bite, and her entire expression changed.

Her eyes flew open wide. She paused for a split second before she started chewing eagerly, her cheeks puffing out.
“Dad,” she mumbled through a mouthful of strawberry, “why are these strawberries so good…”
Maxwell had already stuffed one into his mouth.
He was still little and wasn’t exactly a neat eater. Juice ran down the corner of his mouth.
He didn’t even bother wiping it away. Instead, he shouted through a full mouth, “Wow! Sweet! They’re so good!”
Ivy picked one up and popped it into her mouth as well.
After chewing twice, she set her vegetables aside, picked up another strawberry, and ate two in a row. Even the wrinkles on her face seemed to relax.
“These strawberries… they taste even better than Seafarm Group’s premium fruit. Where did you buy them?”
Nolan tried one too. He was usually not picky about food, but this time he nodded in approval.
“They really are different. They’ve got a kind of… fragrance I can’t quite describe.”
Watching his family happily crowd around that single box of strawberries, Cyrus suddenly felt a deep sense of satisfaction that he hadn’t experienced in a very long time.
He reached into the bag again and pulled out a large round watermelon with a deep green rind, followed by several bright red apples.
“There’s watermelon and apples too.” He placed the watermelon on the table.
It was noticeably larger than an ordinary watermelon. Its dark green rind was covered in fine stripes, and when he tapped it lightly, it produced a crisp, hollow sound.
Zara immediately jumped up and ran into the kitchen for a knife. “I’ll cut it! I’ll cut it?”
The instant the blade came down, the rind split open with a sharp crack, revealing bright red, juicy flesh inside. The seeds were tiny and so few that they were almost impossible to notice.
The fresh sweetness of the watermelon blended with the fragrance of the strawberries, filling the entire living room with an irresistible aroma.
Zara cut herself a huge slice and took one bite. Juice ran down the corner of her mouth, but she didn’t even stop to wipe it away. “Dad, this watermelon is even sweeter than the

Maxwell’s face was already covered with watermelon juice. Ivy sat on the couch happily eating her slice. Nolan smiled, something he rarely did, while holding his own piece of watermelon. “This flesh is wonderfully crisp.”
Next came the apples.
