Step–Taboo
Two hours go by like that, me scrolling through margins of my notebook.

By the time Xavier came back, he looked exhausted. His tie is loosened, and there’s this dark circle under his eyes that makes me want to hug him.
“Let’s go home,” he says, running a hand through his hair.
I grab my stuff and follow him out of the office. In the elevator, it’s just the two of us, and I keep sneaking glances at him. He looked so tired, but he still managed to flash me a small smile when he caught me staring
When we get to the parking garage, we pass Amelia. She’s leaning against her car, scrolling on her phone, but as soon as she saw us, her eyes narrowed. If looks could kill, I’d be dead.
“What’s her deal?” I muttered under my breath as Xavier unlocked his car.
He just shook his head. “Don’t worry about her.”
We get in the car, and for a while, it’s quiet. The only sound is the music playing softly through the speakers. I leaned my head against the window, singing softly.
But then, we hit traffic. A serious traffic. Xavier muttered something under his breath, gripping the wheel a little tighter.
“This is ridiculous,” he says, sighing.
“Yeah,” I agree, but honestly, I’m not even paying attention to the traffic.
Because out of nowhere, Xavier’s hand moved to my thigh.
At first, it’s just resting there, like it’s no big deal. But then his fingers twitch, and I swear my brain froze. My face felt like it’s on fire.
I glanced at him, trying to keep my expression neutral, but he caught me looking and smirked.
“What?” he asked.
“Nothing,” I said quickly, looking away.
But it’s not nothing. It was definitely not nothing. His hand started moving, sliding just a little higher, until they came in contact with my underwear, and my heart was beating so fast I was surprised he couldn’t hear it.
“Traffic’s the worst,” he said, like nothing’s happening.
“Uh–huh,” I mumbled, barely able to concentrate on what he’s saying. He moved his fingers around the bow on my underwear, running his fingers up and down my underwear.
“I mean, we could be home by now if people just knew how to drive,” he continued as he moved my underwear to the side.
“Totally,” I say, my voice cracking a little.
He glanced at me again, his smirk widening, and I knew he knew exactly what he was doing.
I opened my legs and raised my butt a bit, mostly because I couldn’t take his teasing anymore, and I needed him to touch me.

Xavier finally slid a finger inside me, and then two. He pushed his fingers inside me, in and out, stretching wide my cunt. I moaned loudly at the pressure he was adding, breathing heavily.
“Fuck..” I whispered, breathing heavily. Xavier glanced at me, still fucking me frantically, until an orgasm ripped through me, making me groan loudly, breathing heavily, as I came.
Fucking hell.
We finally made it out of the traffic, and before I knew it, we were pulling into his garage. Xavier turned off the car and looked over at me, his face soft.
“Change and come down for dinner,” he said lowly. My face was still flushed and I could feel heat creeping up my neck everytime I remembered what had happened a while ago.
“Okay,” I replied, trying not to sound too eager. I knew I should be ashamed of what was going on between us but I liked the thrill of it. I loved it, even.
I hurried upstairs, my heart still racing. Maybe it was the way he’d touched me in the car, or maybe it was just… him. Everything about him turned me on. He was perfect.
I jumped in the shower and let the hot water run down my body as I thought about the moment we’d shared in the car. That was probably the first time a guy managed to make me cum in only a few minutes of touching
When I got out, I didn’t even bother drying my hair properly. I pulled on a nightgown, short and skimpy, definitely not meant for sleeping.
It was more for… well, him. I glanced at myself in the mirror, my cheeks a little pink, and then hurried downstairs. I hoped he liked what he saw.
When I walked into the kitchen, I froze.
Xavier was standing there, in nothing but a pair of gray shorts and an apron, his back to me as he worked. The muscles in his back flexed every time he moved, and I just… stood there. Watching him. He was hot. How was a hot man like himself still single?
I leaned against the doorframe, biting my lip, my heart doing that stupid fluttery thing again. He looked so… peaceful and somehow that made him even more attractive.
Suddenly, he turned around and caught me staring.
His eyes flicked over me, taking in the nightgown, and for a second, I thought he was going to say something.
Instead, he just shook his head, a small smile appeared on his lips, and turned back to the stove.
“You gonna keep standing there, or do you plan on helping?” he teased, not looking back.
I laughed softly, walking into the kitchen. “Do you want me to help?”
“No,” he said, glancing at me over his shoulder. “Just sit down and relax. I’ve got this.”
I raised an eyebrow but didn’t argue. “Yeah, yeah.” I muttered, but I went to the dining table and sat down anyway.
A few minutes later, he brought over two plates and set one in front of me. Spaghetti. It smelled amazing, and my stomach growled.
“Thank you,” I said, smiling up at him.
He nodded and sat down across from me. For a while, we ate in silence, comfortable silence. I couldn’t stop

sneaking glances at him, though.
The way his hair was slightly messy, the way eyes roamed as he read something on his phone, it was almost annoying how good he looked doing nothing.
But then he put his fork and phone down and leaned back in his chair, looking at me seriously.
“Are you okay?” he asked suddenly.
I blinked, caught off guard. “What do you mean?”
“With all of this,” he said, gesturing between us. “Everything that’s happening. I need to know you’re not just… doing this without thinking about what it means. About the consequences.”
