Hired a Gigolo Got a Billionaire (Zoey and Christian) novel Chapter 309

Chapter 309

Alexandra’s POV

I went back down to the party with the confidence of someone who had just executed a flawless plan. My heels echoed against the hotel’s marble corridor, each step sounding like a small personal victory.

The main ballroom of the Rosemont Hotel was in full swing when I reentered. The band was playing, conversations flowed over the constant clink of champagne glasses, and London’s elite celebrated the arrival of another year with their signature elegance. It was exactly the kind of environment where I thrived, where everyone instinctively recognized my presence and importance.

I’d barely taken three steps when my phone vibrated with a rapid sequence of notifications.

It was James.

I discreetly moved to a quieter corner near the windows, away from the lively clusters of conversation, and opened the messages. A series of photos filled the screen, and I couldn’t stop the smile that spread across my face like melting butter.

Perfect. It was absolutely perfect.

The images showed exactly what I’d orchestrated: Annie in compromising positions on the hotel bed. James had been smarter than I’d given him credit for. The photos clearly showed Annie, while carefully concealing his own identity through strategic angles and lighting.

I scrolled through them, selecting the best shots with the care of an art curator. I wanted the ones that made Annie look most compromising, but still suggested intimacy without being too explicit. After all, I needed images that told a very specific story, the story of an employee getting involved with an important investor to gain professional advantages.

I chose five perfect photos and scanned the room for Rachel Williams. She was near the buffet, chatting with other people from marketing. Rachel was one of those naturally insecure women who felt important when someone like me paid attention to her. A few compliments, a few invitations to exclusive events, and she’d become a very useful conduit for information when needed.

I approached her quietly, waiting until she’d drifted slightly away from the group.

“Rachel?” I said softly, touching her arm. “I need to talk to you for a moment.”

She turned, looking surprised and pleased by the attention.

“Of course, Alexandra. What can I do?”

“I just sent a few photos to your phone… they’re a bit delicate,” I said calmly. “Could you discreetly make sure they reach the employees’ WhatsApp group? You know, the one where you all share the… company gossip?”

Rachel looked at her phone, her eyes widening as she scrolled.

“But… these are pictures of Annabelle, aren’t they? What exactly—”

“Rachel,” I interrupted gently, but firmly, “the man with her is Klaus Reinhardt, from Reinhardt Industries. An employee with access to strategic information getting intimately involved with a major client? That

compromises the integrity of the negotiations. He could be gaining commercial advantages through her- information other competitors don’t have. Remember when she was accused of leaking the Franconian contracts? Imagine if this gets back to them.”

I watched Rachel swallow hard.

“You think she’s… favoring the Eisenwalds in exchange for personal favors?”

“I’m not making direct accusations,” I replied carefully. “I just think people deserve to be aware of potential conflicts of interest. Let them draw their own conclusions. Just be discreet, all right? We don’t want this to look like a witch hunt.”

“I understand. I’ll… I’ll share it now.

“Thank you, dear. You’re doing the right thing.”

I walked away, satisfaction wrapping around me like a fur coat on a cold day. Within minutes, those photos would be circulating among Kensington employees, planting seeds of doubt about Annie’s integrity.

Now, it was time for the second part of my plan.

I scanned the room until I spotted Tori near the bar, chatting with a few people I didn’t recognize. Perfect. She was alone enough for a private conversation, but still in public-nothing suspicious.

I walked over to her wearing my warmest, most genuine smile.

“Tori!” I exclaimed, lightly touching her arm. “I’m so glad you came! You look absolutely stunning tonight.”

She turned, clearly surprised-and pleased by the attention.

“Alexandra! Thank you-you look amazing too. Is that Valentino?”

“Good eye,” I smiled, doing a small twirl. “From a private collection. Actually, speaking of fashion, I booked an appointment at Neville Hair & Beauty next week. Do you know it? It’s practically impossible to get in-they only take royalty and a few very… select people.”

Tori’s eyes lit up instantly.

“I’d love that. I’ve heard they work miracles.”

“Perfect! Why don’t you come with me?” I said smoothly. “Not that you need anything drastic, of course. Just something to enhance your natural features. You’d look divine with some golden highlights…”

We chatted for a few minutes about trivial things, the kind of surface-level conversation Tori loved, and that allowed me to build a sense of intimacy and trust.

That’s when my phone began buzzing frantically with notifications. Rachel had done her part, and the reactions were rolling in.

I knew exactly what was happening. But I needed to act as if it were a shocking discovery to me as well.

“That’s strange,” I murmured, picking up my phone with a puzzled expression. “The company group is blowing up…”

I opened the messages with seemingly hesitant fingers, letting my expression shift slowly-from curiosity, to surprise, to absolute shock.

“Oh my God…” I whispered, covering my mouth with one hand. “She didn’t…”

Tori, who had been watching my face with growing concern, stepped closer.

“What is it, Alexandra? What happened?”

I hesitated for a moment, pretending to process the information, then slowly turned the phone screen toward

her.

“Weren’t she and your brother together?” I asked, my voice carefully controlled as I watched Tori’s reaction.

“Yes…” Tori murmured, scrolling through the photos, confusion setting in. “But… what is this? Who is that man?”

“It’s hard to see clearly,” I said gravely. “But according to the messages, it’s Klaus Reinhardt. One of our main investors. If this gets back to the others, especially after the contract leak… God, I don’t even want to imagine the fallout. Everyone will assume the Eisenwalds are being favored.”

I watched Tori’s face tighten as the implications sank in.

“It’s unbelievable what these gold diggers will do to get ahead,” I added coolly. “She must be making a nice side profit.”

“But… but…” Tori stammered, clearly struggling to make sense of what she was seeing.

I took advantage of her confusion, stepping closer and placing a comforting hand on her arm. “Tori, you need to tell Nate before he finds out the worst possible way,” I said with calculated urgency. “He’s not in the company gossip group, but people are already talking. It’s better he hears it from you, someone who actually cares about him. Tori, you need to get your brother away from that woman.’
