His Ex-Wife Is A Billionaire (Evadne and Thaddeus) novel Chapter 1359

Due to the devastating emotional blow and severe shock, the already frail Hamilton finally collapsed.

Outside the emergency room, Evadne, Thaddeus, Mr. Murray, and Frederic were gathered in the hallway. Everyone's heart was clenched tight. Evadne stood in the corner, overwhelmed with fear and anxiety, sobbing uncontrollably.

Thinking of his grandfather fighting for his life inside, and seeing his woman weeping so bitterly, Thaddeus clenched his fists at his sides. His knuckles turned white, his veins bulging with agonizing heartache.

Just as he pulled a handkerchief from his pocket and stepped toward Evadne, the cold, steady click of leather shoes echoed from the other end of the corridor.

It was Chad.

Thaddeus's eyes darkened instantly. He halted his steps, his fingers gripping the handkerchief tight.

Chad strode toward the group, flanked by Holden and two bodyguards, fully projecting the aura of the CEO.

"Evadne, why are you crying like this?"

Even with his father and brother right there, Chad didn't spare them a single glance. He walked straight up to the woman he obsessed over, staring at her red, swollen eyes with feigned heartache. "Don't cry. Grandpa will be fine. He's going to live a long life. Stop crying, you'll ruin your beautiful eyes, and that would truly break my heart."

Hearing the man's seemingly affectionate but utterly hypocritical words, a dark tide of fury surged in Thaddeus's eyes.

Chad pulled a black handkerchief from his own pocket and held it out to Evadne. Bending down, he tilted his head, staring unblinkingly at her tear-streaked face.

However, Evadne kept her head down, her tears falling in heavy drops.

"Wipe them? Or should I do it for you?" Chad's voice was disgustingly gentle.

His tenderness was reserved for her alone.
