Alpha Calvin

I’m woken up by a link coming through, It’s Brooke and she sounds panicked and I’m instantly on alert as I concentrate on what she says.

“Cal, Cal wake up, please wake up!”

“I’m awake, what’s wrong baby?” I don’t know what’s going on but I’ve got a sinking feeling in my stomach.

“Cal she’s gone, Beth’s gone. I can’t find her anywhere!” What the f**k?

“Where are you, baby?”

“I’ve just got back to my room.” I can hear her trying to hold back her tears and my heart picks up its pace as I feel her emotions rush through my body.

“Liam wake up!” I shout out loudly causing him to jump off the bed and straight into a fighting stance, he’s always ready for war this guy and I f*****g love it.

“What’s going on Alpha?” He checks every inch of the room before slightly relaxing.

“Liam Brooke can’t find Bethany!” I say it slowly and carefully as I know he’s going to lose his shit.

“YOU f*****g WHAT?” Yup there it is and I don’t blame him I would be exactly the same. Beth may not be able to feel their mate bond yet but Liam can and he is going to tear this place apart looking for her, and I’m right behind him.

“Let’s get to the girl’s room and see Brooke, find out what’s going on.” We both use our wolf speed to make quick work of getting dressed and we’re at Brooke’s door in 3 minutes. She opens the door before my hand even touches the handle and instantly breaks down.

Beta Liam

I get woken up sharply by Calvin’s voice shouting out to me, I’m instantly in Beta mode and use my wolf speed to jump out of the bed and be ready to fight. I look around but I can’t see anyone, any danger or smell any other wolves apart from Calvin. I stop when my eyes reach his and I instantly know something is wrong and the moment he tells me what’s happening my heart stops, my blood boils and I feel a rage burn through my veins like never before!

We get to the girl’s room in minutes and Brooke is a mess, she’s sobbing her heart out and it’s horrible to see but I need to get this search started, I can’t stand around waiting any longer!

“Brooke, what’s happened?” I keep my tone calm with her despite how I’m feeling.

“I don’t know Liam, I woke up and she wasn’t here, I assumed she was in the bathroom but she wasn’t and then I noticed her phone on the nightstand, she never goes anywhere without that plus when I woke up, we had only been sleeping for about 2 hours as we stayed up talking till gone 4. I’ve searched everywhere. I checked downstairs then outside and she wasn’t anywhere but…” She’s talking fast and by the time she finished her tears have resurfaced.

“But what Luna?” I already know I’m not going to like this.

“When I was about to come back inside something caught my eye on the floor, I went to check it out and I found this.” She hands me something, and as soon as I see it my f*****g heart drops!

“Her neckless, her neckless with your parent’s rings on…she’d never go anywhere without this!”

“I know and she’d feel it falling off because of the weight and hear it hit the ground with her hearing and she wouldn’t just leave it behind, Liam I’m so sorry…I’m so sorry!” By the time she finished talking she is sobbing her heart out again, Calvin reaches out to her but I’m quicker as I wrap my arms around her. “Liam’s right Brooke!” I look to him and give him a grateful nod as I slowly turn Brooke around and into his arms, most wolves wouldn’t dare allow another male to comfort their mate but Calvin knows I love Brooke like a sister and that’s all it will ever be.

He’s mentioned more than once that he loves the bond we have and I already know he’s forming the same bond with Bethany. After a few minutes she manages to calm down and we start trying to figure out this mess.

“Ok Liam, Bethany may be Brooke’s sister and mine but she’s your mate and we will follow your lead on this until you say any different. I’m grateful for him allowing me to lead, Jonah won’t stand still for long with our mate missing, and neither will I!

“Thank you, brother I appreciate it, I’m going to see Marcus!” I head straight for the door with both Cal and Brooke on my tail.
