This ball is incredible and already there has been so many mates found, this is my first time attending the blue moon ball and it’s amazing to watch wolves find their mates but I don’t envy them one bit, the story of how I met my mate is one you rarely hear and I wouldn’t change a thing, it’s amazing to think that Brooke and Cal met at this ball and now look at them!

“You ok beautiful?” Hands slide around my waist as I’m dragged from my thoughts, my mates breath fanning my ear sends a shiver down my spine that I know he felt.

“Yeah, I was just thinking!”

“About what?”

“About how incredible it is to watch all these wolves find their mates, to think that they come to the ball alone and now they’ll leave with their mates, it’s pretty incredible!”

“Do you wish that it had happened like that for you?” I turn my head to look into his eyes and the hint of insecurity is clear to see.

“No!” There’s no hesitation to my answer because it’s the truth! “I was also thinking about how incredible our story is and I wouldn’t change a thing about it!” He relaxes against me and it’s a relief.

“And how about your mate, would you change him?” I place my finger on my lip and pretend to think about it for a few seconds before Liam spins me around and buries his face in my neck growling “MINE!” I let out a laugh but before I can say anything his lips come crashing down on mine.

“If you don’t put her down soon I’m going to start getting jealous Mr carter!” We pull apart to see Ashley and Jack heading our way hand in hand.

“He does love me, honestly!” Jack chimes out while rolling his eyes but the smirk on his face says it all.

“I’m afraid I have to steal your mate, it’s booty-shaking time!” Ashley pulls me away from Liam but I dont miss the wining noise that leaves his mouth, I pull back quickly and place a swift kiss on his lips causing him to grace me with a beautiful smile before I head for the dance floor with Ashley and grabbing Brooke and Katie along the way.

Beta Liam

Tonight has been brilliant although I’m pretty sure my good mood has more to do with me being here with my mate rather than the ball itself. I’m sitting at the Alpha table chatting with Jack and Calvin while the girls and Ashley dance like there’s no tomorrow.

Well, I’m trying to chat with them but if truth be told I’m struggling to concentrate, I’ve never allowed myself to look at Bethany’s body when she’s danced before but tonight I am and it’s causing a loss of blood to my brain, the way her gold dress hugs her in all the right places, the way she moves her body and her round plump a*s…f**k!

“Liam you are drooling!” Huh? I look up to see Jack and Cal both smirking at me, but me being me I don’t care, I happily agree and smirk right back at them causing them both to laugh.

I look over to the dance floor and quickly realise my girl isn’t there, where the f**k is she? I start to panic when she suddenly walks through the crowd of dancers towards me closely followed by Brooke, Katie and Ashley. Thank f**k for that!

The girls head for the bathroom giving me time to calm myself back down but I don’t take my eyes off my girl until she’s out of sight. “Where’s Bethany?” I instantly tense even if I’m properly being overdramatic, it’s the mate bond and honestly, I dont give a f**k!

“She’s talking to Jake by the bar!” Brooke shouts over to me, she’s f*****g what? I jump up heading straight for the bar and soon enough I see them, this prick is asking to be knocked the f**k out! When I get close to them Beth turns to face me, she properly sensed me close, her beautiful smile helps ease some of my tension but there’s still plenty still lingering there.

“What the f**k do you want now Jake?”

“Babe calm down, it’s not what you think, Jake just asked me if he could speak with us both, we were just going to come over to the

table!” Beth takes my hand the same way she did earlier when he pissed me off and I start to feel calmer.

“Ok, spill Jake!” I don’t have any patience for this a*****e!

“Beta Liam firstly I want to apologise to you both, I’ve had a massive crush on Bethany since I first meet her and the truth is I always hoped she was my mate, I didn’t know she was your mate until she told me earlier and I just want you to know that I will always treat Bethany with the respect she deserves as a woman and the packs Beta female and no longer will I pursue her in any kind of way!”

Well, I’ll give it to the guy, he sounds like he’s being truthful and I can’t blame him for wanting Bethany, who wouldn’t?
