Beta Liam

Finally, we have a plan in place and one of Alpha Marcus’s men has confirmed that he has seen both Zoe and Jacoby hanging around the empty building and 30 minutes ago myself, Calvin and our men alongside Alpha Marcus and 50 of his men left the rental house to head to the run-down s**t hole that these wankers think is ok to keep my little wolf in.

The building finally comes into view as we hide in the tress, I can’t see anyone else here, no other guards, wolves, nothing. Are they that stupid that they would kidnap Luna’s sister without any backup? Not that I’m complaining it just makes this rescue that much easier.

We break up into small groups, Calvin and 10 of our warriors follow me as we head for a door to the side of the building, we remain silent while we try to listen out for any noises coming from within there. Once we are certain it’s clear, I hold my breath and pray to the goddess that everything goes smoothly as I open the door.

I wake up to the sound of the door slamming against the wall with the force of Zoe opening it and I know this isn’t going to end well.

“We need to kill her before they can get to her!” She bellows out to Jacoby as she takes strong scary steps towards me.

“What? Why would we kill her?” He looks back and fore between me and Zoe and he honestly seems confused.

“Because sometimes plans change, she was never returning to them anyway so it doesn’t really matter if she lives or dies now does it!” She whispers yells at him while I pray for a miracle.

“That wasn’t the plan Zoe, we were supposed to scare him that’s all, you never mentioned anything about killing her!” His face has quickly turned from confused to disgusted while I’m sitting here wondering how the hell I’m going to get free.

Yes, I am a warrior’s daughter and a bloody good fighter at that but at the same time I’m a teenager and I don’t have my wolf yet whereas these are adults with their wolves and I imagine they are extremely good fighters. I don’t stand a chance!

Suddenly Zoe walks right in front of me, grabs me by my hair, pulls my head back, and rests a sliver blade knife to my throat. Oh, f**k!

“Any final words b***h?” She’s got a sick grin spread across her face and I don’t see this ending well for me as I silently pray to the moon goddess.

“Please keep my family and pack safe, don’t let Bella lose another family, please!”

I keep repeating the words in my head hoping the moon goddess can hear me and grant me this one final wish. I shake my head telling her I have nothing to say, my heart is slamming against my chest and my palms are sweaty but I won’t show her any fear so instead I slowly close my eyes, take a deep breath and think of my family.

I can see mom and dad dancing in the kitchen and Harley sitting on Josh’s lap at the kitchen table while she feeds a very happy Bella. I see Carly laying on my bed reading the latest gossip magazine, I see Brooke laughing and talking with Calvin out in the garden,

And then last but not least Beta Liam’s face appears in my head he’s smiling at me as he calls me his little wolf and I literally feel my heart breaking! Why is Beta Liam in my final thoughts?

I don’t get long to question anything as suddenly an ear-piercing growl fills the room and I’m sharply brought out of my daydream; I look up and soon realize that the knife is no longer resting on my throat nor is Zoe standing in front of me any longer.

She’s laying on the floor with her silver knife sticking out of her chest and Jacoby is the one holding it and pressing it further into her skin and ending her life.

He slowly moves towards me and on instinct, I cower back, his hand comes out to reach me and I swear my heart is going to break free from my chest at any second, he brings his other hand up with a look of hurt and pain and most of all fear and I have no idea what he’s thinking.
