That fucking bitch. She is even more cunning than I realized. I just lost my pack to one of the weaker Willis boys. Isaiah is nothing. My wolf was overly emotional, and the thought of losing the pack made him even more upset, especially since Kaia was mated to Isaiah.

‘I wanted her. I always wanted her. You were too damn stubborn! Now we lost everything!’ Lupin said.

‘A woman like her that could control the emotions of a man was never a good thing,’ I argued.

‘News flash! She played on your emotions like a fucking psychiatrist, idiot! You let her get under your skin. She didn’t even stumble. A woman like her would have helped you grow this pack. The door opens, and my father walks through. The look of disappointment and disgust is evident in his eyes. I looked away from him. I don’t have time for his bullshit now. He was always a weak Alpha. I wanted to take Ironclaw further. I was doing it too.

“You forced me into that arranged marriage, father,” I said with a sneer.

“I don’t know. I need to get to the bottom of it, though.”

Father laughed. “You fool! You have no way of knowing who did this to you, and now you don’t have the power to investigate it. You are going to stay here and recover. I’m leaving now.
