Adrian POV
After my final good-bye to Amber, I helped Aunt Nancy get back home. I stayed with her another month, helping her with things that needed fixing in her home. Honestly, I just didn’t want to leave her. The two months we were together, she didn’t coddle me. When I needed to cry, she just sat with me quietly, letting me get it out.
Then I made my way to Blue Moon. I needed to pack and handle the turnover with Jules and Nala. At first, Reid was treating me like something fragile, and in a way, I guess I was. I spent three weeks there closing the loops. A bunch of the warriors gave me their condolences and tried to cheer me up by talking about sports and other things that had happened in the pack while I was away.
I don’t go to my room to sleep at night. I currently sleep in a different room. I can’t bear to sleep in the same room again. Her scent is still there. Reid and Navy had the omegas remove her clothes and personal effects. I appreciated that from them, but I still remember how she would smile at me when I walked in on her while she was bathing.
I remember how she would sit by the window most days. She always looked deep in thought. Now, I know why. She was riddled with guilt. Guilt she couldn’t talk about. I looked at her vanity. It used to be messy. I would tease her about her organizational skills, and she would scowl at me and say, “It’s organized chaos. I know where everything is, Adrian.”
Having all those memories of watching her sleep, get dressed, do her hair and makeup, is burned into my memory. They all happened in that bedroom. I couldn’t stay there, even one night.
I called Adrian and told him I would be coming to Blackstone to take over as the Beta. He caught me up with my nieces and nephews. My nephews float. I don’t even know what the hell I should think about that. If I have to watch his kids and they start floating, I’m not sure I will be able to handle it.
“How are you doing, truly, brother?” Adrian asked.
I sighed. “It’s getting easier. I still can’t go into my room with her. I packed my things and moved them to another room on the beta floor. I don’t wake up feeling miserable anymore, though.”
“I’m sorry, man. Well, at least you will have a new room on the beta floor here. Are you still planning to make your way here next week?”
“Yeah. Navy planned a farewell party for the day after tomorrow. Then I leave the next day,” I said.
“Alright. I will see you by the weekend, then. You’ll accept Thalia and me as your Alpha and Luna. We will plan the blood pact ceremony and the beta ceremony after that.”
“I look forward to it, and Adrian?” I said.
“Yeah, brother?”
“Thank you for all of this. I know you could’ve chosen someone else.”
“We are family, Adrian. You don’t need to say thank you. Tell my asshole brother to call me later,” he chuckled.
“I’ll tell him that verbatim.”
“Please do. I need to talk logistics for this war that’s coming. I’m going to need him here.”
“Yeah, I got it. I want to end him, though, Aiden.”
“No one wants to take that from you, Adrian. Not even Aric. He wants to kill that bastard for killing his sister, Iris, but what he did to you was way crueler. Aric wants his pound of flesh, though.”
“If he wants to take turns beating the shit out of him, I will gladly take turns. As long as I get the final blow.”
“I think he will like that idea a lot. Talk to him about it when you get here. He found his mate in Blackstone. He visits often for Sinclair and his mate’s family.”
“That’s great! I’m happy for him,” I said, while feeling a pang in my chest.
“I’ll see you this weekend, brother. Antonio is floating again, and Thalia needs me.”
I laughed. “See you this weekend, bro.”
I hung up and breathed out a long sigh. This will be good. The change of scenery will be exactly what I need.

What happened to the storyline? After Chp 100 it is a completely different story! This is terrible!...
So many missing chapters and repetitions. A different story altogether from chapter 101...
