Adrian POV
I’m angry about Sinclair telling me what she was about to do. She said it like there were no other options. Maybe there weren’t other options, but still, telling me that I basically would have to endure it pissed me off.
I was honest with her. I told her I didn’t want to feel betrayal pains. I couldn’t talk to her anymore after that. Thor and I were feeling devastated. I don’t want a repeat of Amber. I don’t want my mate telling me to be a cuck while she ‘fooled’ Julian.
What’s even crazier, it’s not that I don’t trust her. I do. I don’t trust Julian. Who the fuck would? The way she explained everything was as if she was going to try to prevent it from happening. It made me realize that she isn’t trying to make any intimacy with Julian part of the plan.
It softened me a little bit, but I still couldn’t bring myself to talk to her yet, so when I woke up the following morning, I got ready for my day, had breakfast, did my patrols, and got back for lunch. I had run so hard that I was sweating and needed to clean up again. As I entered my room, my game controller pinged.
[Sinclair: Angelo and I are moving forward with our plan, but we may have a way to avoid any physical contact with Julian. I am going to try Adrian. I love you.]
I read that message and something in my chest loosened. She heard me. She listened. Not in an obedient way. I would never tell her to be obedient. She listened to my fear. She listened to my needs. Amber never did. She never heard what I was trying to say with my actions or when I was talking to her about our relationship.
Sinclair went back and tried to figure something out. She said she was going to try. What she said, without saying it loudly, was that she considered me in her plan. That means more to me than anything.
I didn’t say anything. I wanted to sit with her message in my mind for a minute. I decided to shower and then respond to her. Today is the day she makes her way back home. The jet is ready. The men are in place. I honestly can’t wait to see her and have her in my arms.
When I came back out, I had the towel wrapped around my waist, and I was still towel-drying my hair. I looked over at the controller, and there was a red blinking light. I don’t know what that means, so I picked up the controller.
I growled when she grabbed his face and rested her forehead on his, but there was no betrayal pain. It looks like a loving act, but she is doing it to convince him and show me that she isn’t giving him any real intimacy. She grabbed her bag and winked again at the camera, but was suddenly pulled back.
My chest feels like something pierced through me. “ARGH!” I screamed out.
“Be safe, my Luna,” I hear Julian say.
“I’ll be back, my Alpha,” Sinclair responded.
Julian kissed her. He forced his kiss on her. That wasn’t part of the plan. This entire time, she avoided anything that would make me feel betrayal pains. I know it’s not on her, but I’m angry. Julian touched what’s mine. He’s a dead man walking.

What happened to the storyline? After Chp 100 it is a completely different story! This is terrible!...
So many missing chapters and repetitions. A different story altogether from chapter 101...
