His Plump Mate (Book 1: The 'His' Series) novel Chapter 679

Sinclair POV

We arrive at the airstrip. Everything was prepared for quick transport. I have everything with me. Angelo is laughing with the warriors. The warriors have taken a liking to him already. Angelo is at ease. It’s the most relaxed I’ve ever seen him.

Mali is getting increasingly anxious. She is ready to go home, see our mates, and see our pups. I rested my head back in my seat and closed my eyes. This mission has really drained me emotionally.

I hated how I left. I hated the sharp pain of severing the bond and pack link. I hated being away from my pups. I hated not having Adrian beside me at night, holding me. Most of all, I hated feeling alone again. I’ve grown accustomed to being with a family. I was used to going between Ironclaw to see Aric, Kaia, and Isaiah, and going back to Blackstone to be with my pups and Adrian.

The plane takes off, and a warrior brings me my cell phone. He was told to leave it out of sight until we took off and were in the air. I immediately turned it on and signed into the plane’s Wi-Fi. As soon as I did, a flood of messages came through—all of them from Adrian.

I smiled widely. He left messages for me every day. He sent me pictures of our pups. Irene holding her bottle on her own. Phoenix reaching for his feet. Adrian holding both of them. He took pictures of everything and sent them to me. He knew I would want these moments captured.

I dialed his number, and he picked up on the first ring. “Thank fuck! You are in the air!”

I laughed. “I guess that was your way of knowing I am coming home?”

“Damn right, little Sin. Get your sexy ass back here!”

“We should be there in a couple of hours. Are you meeting me at the airstrip?”

“Is that a serious question?”

I laughed. “I can’t wait to see you and our pups. Everyone really.”

“We are all waiting to see you.”

I smiled. My whole family. They are waiting for me. “I’m bringing a new addition.”

“I have to thank him. He did distract Julian. Even if that bastard forced himself on you.”

I chuckled. “It’s over. Now we prepare.”

“In about a week,” Adrian said.

“A week?” I asked.

“Did you forget? You’re not leaving our bedroom for at least a week, little Sin. I’ve been dying to get my hands on you. Especially after all those videos.”

I laughed louder now. “Stop teasing him, guys. You know how it is when you are away from your mates for a long time.”

“Yeah, we do, but Beta Adrian was especially entertaining.”

I shake my head and continue going through the pictures on my phone. He really thought about me every day. There isn’t one day missed. Even when we fought, he still sent pictures to my phone. My heart warms with the realization.

Two hours passed, and we were finally landing. We taxied to a stop, and I saw Adrian with Aiden and Thalia. He is waiting for me, like he said he would. All the warriors waited for me to get out first. Clearly, they know that Adrian is anxious to see me. I’m anxious to see him too.

As soon as I saw him, I ran straight to him. He lifts me and swings me around. Before I knew what was happening, he kissed me and dipped me low, like a romantic moment from a movie.

Behind me, I heard a lot of whistling from the over-dramatic display of affection from my mate. When he finally let me up, I was dizzy, and he was smirking at me.

“Had to give my little sin a proper welcome kiss,” he grinned.

Everyone around us was chuckling as I blushed furiously. I hugged Aiden and Thalia. Then I brought Angelo forward.

“Guys, this is Angelo. He was the tech lead at Julian’s pack. He was treated poorly there, but he would be an asset to us. Plus, he needs a place he can call home, and it actually feels like one,” I said.
