His Plump Mate (Book 1: The 'His' Series) novel Chapter 687

Adrian POV

Aiden and I are going to pay for setting Reid up later. Right now, though, we are enjoying our victory of getting out of training with Mom. She is brutal. She sees everyone’s weak spots. She is a tough trainer. Angelo will learn a lot, but Reid is going to be sore as hell afterward.

After they left, Aiden and I started laughing our asses off. “That was great. Did you see the look on Reid’s face?”

I laughed heartily. “You know he is going to get even, right?”

“That should be fun,” Sinclair said. “Can you two tell me what’s going on now?”

Aiden and I smiled at each other. “Yeah, come to my office,” Aiden said.

“We have a surprise for you, Little Sin,” I said. It’s not a lie. The entire time Sinclair was gone, Aiden and I were working on something big. I wasn’t going to tell my Little Sin anything until I had my fill of her. That is actually an impossible task, because I can never get enough of her. However, this is a conversation that needs to be had.

Sinclair followed us. She is still holding Irene, who has now fallen asleep in her wrap. Phoenix is slowly following in his sister’s footsteps.

After we closed the door to Aiden’s office, Sinclair sat on the couch and rubbed Irene’s head, which made her smile in her sleep. My heart melts. If any man tries to hurt her in the future, he’s dead. She is my princess.

“Sinclair,” Aiden begins in a low voice, so he doesn’t wake our pups. “While you were away, Adrian and I started talking about the future, after the war.”

Sinclair raises an eyebrow. “Okay? What is that looking like for you?”

“For me? A lot of damn paperwork, but it’ll be worth it. However, it would be a big change for Adrian and you.”

“Why?”

“Because I plan to kick you both out of Blackstone,” he said with a smirk.

I’m holding back a grin. I know Aiden is building up to the surprise, but I can already see that Sinclair is confused. She is quickly moving from fear, grief, and sadness to anger, which is exactly what Aiden wanted.

I looked at Aiden, and he started laughing. I follow suit, because I seriously cannot take it anymore. She has no idea.

“Sinclair, you are going to serve the Alpha of Blackclaw. That would be Adrian.”

Sinclair opened her mouth to yell, and then we saw her brain stop working in real time. She closed her mouth and then looked at us, confused. “Adrian?” she asked Aiden.

“Yes. I’m not kicking you out because I don’t want Adrian and you to stay, Sinclair. After the war, you are going to have your own pack.”

Sinclair looked at me and then back at Aiden. “Come again?”

I put my arms around Sinclair, careful not to crush our pups. “Little Sin, remember when we were driving to Ironclaw? We said the land between Blackstone and Ironclaw would be a great spot for another pack. While you were away, I spoke to Aiden about it. He didn’t want a larger territory, and neither did Isaiah. Dad suggested I take it and become the Alpha. We worked with the council and got it approved. The land is ours. After the war, construction will begin.”

In a very rare moment, Sinclair looks at me, dumbfounded, and is speechless. I smiled. “So yes, you will serve your alpha. I will be serving my Luna, Little Sin. Luna Sin sounds pretty incredible to me, don’t you think?”
