Thalia POV
I’m spending time with Antonio and Tomas. I am enjoying their babbling and watching them move across the floor. They are floating whenever they want, but luckily, today they are not making me chase them. These two are a handful.
At least with Rosario and Teagan, we have a way to communicate. I was seriously taking that for granted. I don’t know what my baby boys are thinking at any given moment.
It’s time for their nap, and Aiden must have sensed I was getting tired. He came in and kissed my temple. Then he grabbed Tomas, while I grabbed Antonio. We put them in their cribs, then put the screen cover on top so they don’t float away in their sleep again. When they get older, I hope they will be able to control this gift better.
Aiden puts his arms around me from behind. “After this war, we are going to make our other five pups, Mojito.”
I chuckled. “Is that all you think about?”
“When it comes to our family, I like to think I am obeying the Moon Goddess’s will.”
I shook my head in disbelief. “Let’s go. They are finally asleep, and I have things I need to get done.”
We closed the door behind us, and I was going to walk to my office. However, I ended up blacking out, and then I heard her again. The Moon Goddess has come to talk to me.
“My chosen one, the time is nearing. In less than two weeks, the danger will be at your doorstep. Make final preparations. Throw the party, hug your pack members, and make sure everyone knows they are loved.”
My heart wants to stop. “Moon Goddess, you make it sound like our doom is coming. Have things changed?”
“Everything is as it should be, Thalia. I have told you that some will not make it to the other side. This is why you must celebrate with your pack and families, Thalia.
“Will my family at the very least be okay, Moon Goddess?”
“The ending is not determined. You have every advantage, Thalia. That does not mean, however, that you will not come out unscathed.”
When I come back, I’m in bed, and Aiden is holding my hand. I start sobbing. “Aiden…Aiden!”
“I’m here, Mojito. I’m here. What did she tell you?”
“Less than two weeks. Throw the party, hug the family, tell everyone we love them. We have the advantage, but we will not be without casualties,” I cried. “I can’t take this, Aiden. I don’t want to lose another pack member.”
Aiden holds me against him. “It’s okay, Mojito. We throw the party then. We tell everyone what’s coming. We give pack members the chance to leave before the war comes to us. We keep everyone safe who can be kept safe.”
I sobbed into his chest. “What about our pups?”
“I’m going to send Mom and Dad with the pups to Blue Moon,” he said.
I nodded. “Okay. Let’s call everyone to the office.”
“Okay, Mojito.”
An hour later, everyone is crammed into Aiden’s office. I told them what the Moon Goddess said to me. Everyone is looking very somber. Everyone except Sinclair. She looked angry.
“First, Mom, organize a party. We let everyone know what’s coming and let those who want to go before this is at our doorstep go. We need to have this done in the next three days. Is that enough time?”
Mom smiled. “I will have the omegas help me. We have more than enough to throw a party.”
“Good. Dad, will you help outline the territories with Aiden? I need Isaiah, Adrian, Jonah, and Reid to start putting stakes down where the sensors are going to go.’
“We can start working on that in the morning,” Dad said.
“Thank you.” Then I looked at Rory, Navy, Kaia, and Sinclair and smiled. “Ladies, usually, this is where the mimosas come in,” I joked, and they snickered, but I continued. “But this time, on the tables, we are making primitive bombs. The sensors will set them off. I don’t want them detecting the threats.”
“Do we get to play mad scientist?” Kaia said excitedly.
“Yes, we need to get to the artillery building in the morning and start gathering supplies.”
Adrian stood up. “If Ronan and Candy show up, they belong to Sinclair and me. We will settle that score.”
“Julian is mine,” I said.
“Ours, Mojito.”
I smiled. “Time to party.”
