Sinclair POV
It’s been almost a month since the war ended. I still remember seeing the blast. I still have the image fresh in my mind of Thalia being carried by a panicked Aiden. Her body looked mangled, but she was still alive.
After she was taken to the hospital and Raul said she was stable but unconscious, Aiden continued to stay by her side, while the rest of us started cleaning up. Renz and Lacey helped, as well as Jonah and Rory. Moving forward, I don’t know how Jonah and Rory will handle being Gamma. This battle spooked them, and there is some PTSD following it.
After cleanup, which took four days to gather the bodies and dispose of them, we then had the warriors move trees they had brought down as barriers. We are going to repurpose them for the new pack house. It’ll save on materials.
When the blast happened, both Isaiah and Adrian shielded Kaia and me. They absorbed the blast, and for an entire day after, they were the two most energetic men out on that field, gathering bodies. Otherwise, it would have taken a solid week to gather the bodies.
On our second week, Aiden spoke to Adrian and me about Julian’s pack. We went with Kaia and Isaiah. Adrian and Isaiah gathered the bodies to dispose of them, while Kaia and I dismantled everything technical in the pack. Then we headed straight back to Blackstone.
Once we were back, Adrian, true to his word, found my birth control and chucked it down the toilet and flushed it. I laughed so hard at the proud look on his face. That night, he was all over me and called it a trial run.
Now, Adrian and I are going over plans for our pack house. We decided to get some prefabricated cottages delivered to our territory. It was a lot cheaper than building from scratch. We are also working on utilities, permitting, and so much more. Who knew building houses was such a task? We are building a pack, so it’s multiples of everything.
“What do you think about the pack house having a view of the lake? We could make the view larger,” Adrian suggested.
“I like it. Do you think we could build a small dock to enjoy the view in the spring?” I asked.
“We do have all those trees. I’m sure we could use that for some of the materials,” he replied.
“We will need to get those chopped down and put in a wood kiln,” I said.
“I’ll get some of the warriors to work on that,” Adrian said.
“We need to start thinking about a training facility, too.”
“And nurseries. We need to think about nurseries,” Adrian said with a wicked smile.
“I thought women were the ones who were supposed to get pup fever,” I said, amused.

So many missing chapters and repetitions. A different story altogether from chapter 101...
