“You’ve been here since yesterday afternoon Rebel baby. I’m sure you must be hungry. I’ve already asked for food to be brought to you. I need you conscious and with enough strength for what I have in mind.” The look on his face as he said that gave me creepy chills up my spine.

He leaned over me in the bed and ran his thumb over my nipple, through my top. “I’m going to definitely have fun with your body later today.” He said, “I will leave you now. Before I go, let me get you sitting upright. You will be fed. There will be no one here to untie you mate.”

I feel nauseous. I’m really feeling dread through my veins. How am I ever going to get out of this place?

Austin POV

It’s been twenty-four fucking hours! I have seen the footage and I don’t know who took Rebel. I asked my scout about Cullen and he said he hasn’t seen Rebel enter Ironclaw. No one has heard anything about Morgana. I’m starting to think there is another threat and I wasn’t aware of it.

“Renz, how is Lacey?” I ask.

“She is pissed more than anything. She wants to find the bastard who knocked her out and took Rebel. She is feeling really guilty about it Austin.”

“It’s not her fault. She is a victim like Rebel. The guards should have been with them. I want them changed out. They are no longer qualified to guard Rebel, Lacey or Jane.”

“Understood. I have been asking Dylan, the scout at Ironclaw, to update me every thirty minutes. I don’t care if there is nothing to report.”

“I’ve contacted Elias. He said he is trying to pull additional surveillance to capture anything he can about her disappearance.”

“Are you still not able to mind link her?” Renz asks.

“No. I don’t know if it’s because she’s too far away, unconscious or drugged, Renz. I’m losing my mind.” I said and my voice cracked at the end.

Renz came over to me and put his hand on my shoulder, “Hey, we are going to find her, man. She will be brought back, safe and sound. You will see.”

“Thank you, Renz. You’ve always been my best friend. I’m sorry for what happened to Lacey, and I am glad she is recovering. I just want to find Rebel.”

As I finish speaking a sharp pain is felt on my chest. “Ahh.”

“Austin, what’s wrong?”

“I’m not sure. I just felt a sharp pain in my chest. It feels like the pains I felt when Kaden had Rebel in the cave.”

“Yes. But I know Rebel would never betray me, that only means whoever has her is touching her and I can’t do a

thing about it until I find her.” I am angry and throw a paperweight against the fucking wall. Where the hell is my mate? Why can’t I reach her?

“I need to call Reid and let him know what’s happening. Maybe he can find out if Rebel is at Blue Moon or something.” I suggest.

I grab my phone and dial Reid. “Austin! What a pleasant surprise!”

“Reid, I wish this was a happy call, but it’s not. I need your help.” I say with urgency.

“Absolutely, what happened?” He says immediately.

“Rebel was kidnapped yesterday afternoon. I’m trying to find her. I just felt betrayal pains, but it was brief. I don’t know if Morgana is behind this or if it could be someone from Blue Moon or Cullen from Ironclaw.”

“WHAT?! How did this happen? I will send guards to Blue Moon and I will turn every stone to find her. If she is here, I promise you, I will find her Austin.”

“Thank you, Reid. I’m losing my mind here.” I go on to tell him what happen and what leads I have for now, but everything is pretty thin. Whoever took Rebel did a good job of not being detected.
