His Regret Arrived Three Days Late novel Chapter 151

When Zoltan saw Annika, his expression soured even more, and he let out a sharp snort.

"Grandpa, just let her take the child," Conrad Beryl pleaded on Annika's behalf. "He's so little. He really can't be away from his mother."

However, Zoltan acted as if he hadn't heard a word, remaining stubbornly silent.

Annika clutched Monroe tightly, her voice shaking. "Let me take Monroe for now. He’s your great-grandson. I’ll take good care of him, I swear—and I’ll bring him by every week to see you."

"Take good care of him?" Zoltan echoed, mocking. "And how do you plan to do that? Yazmin already told you the terms. The child stays, or you leave. I’m giving you those two options out of respect for the two years you were married to Conrad—back when you were still my grandson’s wife. Don’t ask for anything else."

Zoltan's tone was as sharp as a blade, cutting off any path for Annika except the two he had laid out. There was no room for negotiation.

"Grandpa—" Conrad began, but Zoltan cut him off with a roar.

"You say one more word, and I'll give you a taste of my cane, you hear me?"

Zoltan was so enraged he looked ready to strike Conrad. Just then, Yazmin hurried in from outside, placing herself between them. "Dad, please, calm down. Conrad didn't mean to upset you. He's just worried about his wife, that's all."
