It had been more than three hours since the message was sent, but Eli had not replied at all. Josh clicked his tongue in annoyance because, once again, Eli had ignored him. Although he did not like it, Josh could not force Eli to keep replying to his messages.

"You really haven't gone home for two months." Josh's voice sounded like a mild complaint.

Eli lowered her face. She knew she was at fault. "Yes. Like I said, I've been busy."

"I understand." Josh smiled faintly. "But still, I feel like you're starting to forget about home."

Eli chuckled softly. "I haven't forgotten."

"Then prove it."

Eli lifted her face. "How?"

"Come with me for a while. Oh, why didn't you reply to my message?"

Eli looked at Josh guiltily. "I'm sorry. I had a discussion with Professor Benedict this morning. He really drained me emotionally."

Eli did not know that, just a few steps away from them, someone was watching.

Natalie.

The girl approached them with a wide smile. "Eli!"

Eli turned. "Natalie."

Natalie immediately came closer as if they had been friends for a very long time. "I've been looking for you. Turns out you're here."

Then her gaze shifted to Josh. "And? Is he the Josh you told me about, Eli?"

Josh was slightly surprised. His brow furrowed as he looked at Eli.

Before Josh could say anything, Natalie extended her hand. "I'm Natalie." The girl smiled broadly. "I'm Eli's friend at Raven."

Josh immediately smiled. "Nice to meet you."

Natalie sat down beside them without much ceremony. She began asking about Josh, Miller University, the game earlier, and even about Eli's relationship with the Miller family.

Eli laughed several times at the way Natalie spoke as if she had known Josh for years. Josh did not mind anything Natalie asked. He appreciated Natalie's presence as Eli's friend.
