Vincent's words made the atmosphere inside the car even more tense. After that, Cale said nothing more. His eyes returned to the tablet in his hand, studying every detail of the coordinate markers that had been tracking the two movements heading in opposite directions.
"Sir," Vincent called, unable to hide the nervousness in his voice.
Cale briefly looked up.
"The GPS signal from their vehicles has suddenly disappeared," Vincent reported as he hurriedly opened the backup tracking system. "It could just be signal loss from being outside the coverage area. I've already instructed the nearest field teams to begin searching—"
Before Vincent could finish, the analyst at the command center cut in over the radio once again. "We've confirmed the cause of the signal loss, sir."
Vincent immediately pressed the communication button on the dashboard. "Report immediately."
"It appears they knew we were tracking the vehicle involved in Daniel's attack. We've lost the trail leading southwest, sir."
An oppressive silence once again filled the cabin. Only a few seconds later, another report came through in the same grim tone. "The same thing has happened to the route heading east as well, sir."
Vincent slowly closed his eyes, struggling to contain his frustration. "Both of them?"
"Yes, sir."
Cale's gaze never shifted from the tablet in his hands. For several seconds, he waited for one of the red markers to reappear. But the screen remained empty.
There were no more red markers left to follow. The digital map before Cale had suddenly gone blank, leaving only the road network without any guidance. Every route they had been tracking had vanished without a trace. For the first time since the massive pursuit had begun, they had truly lost their direction.
The car continued racing forward, but their destination had now become nothing more than an uncertain guess.
Vincent immediately took charge and issued a new order over the radio. "All teams, continue the search. Check every abandoned warehouse, derelict building, industrial area, and port facility within a twenty-kilometer radius immediately."
"Yes, sir," the operator responded from the other end.
Brandon let out another long sigh. "I never imagined Falcon would do something this insane."
A brief silence settled over the call once more. Brandon drew a deep breath before speaking again. "All this time, I hoped he still had some moral boundaries left as a human being." He gave a bitter laugh, one filled with disappointment. "Turns out I was wrong. My father's blood truly runs through Don Falcon's veins."
Meanwhile, Cale kept his eyes fixed on the dark road ahead, waiting for whatever crucial information the Evermont man was about to reveal.
"Do you have any information?" Cale demanded coldly, breaking the silence.
"I heard about the kidnapping almost at the same time you did," Brandon replied.
He stood before the floor-to-ceiling window in his office, looking down at his staff, who continued working without any idea that a major crisis had descended upon Carrington Bay.
"The moment I learned Falcon had taken Miss Naomi by force, I immediately contacted everyone who still remains loyal to me. There aren't many of them, but they're more than enough to find out where my brother has fled."
