Mia had been on the Bennett deal from the very beginning. She knew every moving part.

She had every document ready. Whenever Ethan needed a specific figure or file, she handed it over with perfect timing.

The food was laid out neatly. The two of them were sitting side-by-side, practically touching, Chloe was holding a piece of braised pork to Ethan’s lips.
