JASMINES POV
"Mhmm, I’ll see if I can arrange something for tomorrow then. So far, I’ve found four homes. So maybe you can visit two tomorrow and the other two on Saturday," Louis suggested.
"Sounds good to me," I agreed with Louis.
"I’m free this weekend actually I’ve managed to finish all the urgent work I needed to do so I can join you on Saturday," he told me.
**********
Later that evening, when I retired to my room, I decided to reply to my brother. ’When should we meet?’ I asked him.
I would go to find out why he wanted to speak with me. I would take Kyle and Henry with me in case anything happened.
I then switched contacts from my brother to Keith. ’Keith, when are you going to sign the papers? I want to settle this in court as quickly as possible.’ I texted him remembering I had yet to remind him.
He was taking his sweet time, it had been more than two weeks now as if this wasn’t urgent. I knew he was aware of how desperately I wanted to proceed with this and get it over with. He was probably delaying to annoy me.
’I don’t agree with the terms of your divorce.’ He responded a few minutes later.
Oh my god, not this again. Last time Keith mentioned wanting to renegotiate the terms it was before he knew I was staying with Louis. He was ’worried’ I had no money or a home. However, what was his reason for wanting to renegotiate the terms?
I was going to go ahead and file for the contested divorce.
The following day about an hour before I was set to clock off at work Louis allowed me to leave to look at two of the houses he had found. Both were apartments. On Saturday the two properties I was scheduled to have a look at were proper houses in a gated community similar to the home.
With Tony finishing school around the same time I had organised for him to be brought to that apartment I was seeing. This was going to be his home too so his opinion mattered.
When I arrived at the first apartment building I waited in the car for Tony to arrive and we would go in together. I was informed by the driver that he would be arriving shortly.
About ten minutes or so later a black sedan parked next to where mine was and Tony was escorted out of the car by the bodyguard Louis had assigned.
I got out of the car and went toward him.
"Hey mum, I got the results of the math test I wrote on Tuesday," Tony told me once he’d reached me, a paper was in his hand.
I recalled the math test I had aggressively had him prepare for last weekend.
