JASMINE’S POV
"Pfft," the chuckle i had been fighting not to release escaped my mouth
"Stop, dont laugh," Louis said to me pissed as he shifted irritably in the seat of his office desk.
"How can I not when you’re wearing shades indoors?" I asked him. My gaze was focused on his black sunglasses. On the borders of the glasses you could see a little swelling on his temple.
I had helped put some concealer on his face this morning to help cover up some of the bruising. However, there was nothing I could do about the swelling.
"I already feel embarrassed enough with the employees looking at me funny whenever they see me," he told me.
When we entered the building this morning all the employees on the top floor stared at him as he headed for his office wondering why he was wearing sunglasses. They were even more perplexed when they came to deliver things to the office.
My lips pressed together and I fought from getting into another fit of laughter.
Causing Louis to be annoyedas he glared at me. Overall, Louis was still upset about losing yesterday. Tony and I tried to comfort him a bit when we arrived him home but he wasn’t having it.
But again serves Louis right. Play stupid games win stupid prizes. It was his idea to fight.
"Just so you know Keith has his own bruises, he’s walking around with bandages and foundation as well. I may have lost but on also did a number on him too," Louis defended himself.
"Yeah," I replied and continued giggling. In any case, I too was upset that Louis had lost. However, I was glad to see him get a few punches. For sure he was swollen himself.
"Okay, I don’t think its that funny," Louis grew impatient at my disrespectful mocking of him.
"Just give me the report!" he snarled at me.
"So, Good news..."I started as my giggling died down." The menus are gradually gaining more and more traction," I told him. "The number of diners increased greatly this past week. Particularly, during the weekend, multiple restaurants were reported to have have near fully booked dining rooms and several dishes finished before s
I put forward the printed paperwork on these details.
"That’s good to hear," he said in an bitter tone and his I could see the vein almost popping out of his head and the battle only became harder. If he wants me to stop laughing he has to stop this. I was literally in stitches.
"These are the most popular dishes on each menu," I told him as I placed the next document in front of him of him at his desk.
"The marketing is thinking of rebranding the restaurant a bit to go with the new menu and give
"Jokes aside this is incredible Jasmie everything is coming along nicely. From these numbers it looks the restaurant will be making so much more it will be self-sustaining. 4 times more than the current budget. Which is insane becauseour starting nugget was so small in comparison," he praised me.
My eyes sparked up with in gratification as he looked at me.
"Thank you for the praise but whilst I gave the idea, it’s you who brought the idea to life and actualized it. Having an idea in theory and actually implementing are two different things however," I praised him back.
"We did a good job then," he said to me as he returned .
My lips curved into a warm smile. "we did," I agreed with him.
