JASMINE'S POV
Tony ran ahead just in front of me. I was running, running as fast as I could, after him and trying to take Tony's hand!
Tony cone here" I called out to him trying to reach him. However, no matter how fast I ran I could never get close enough to him.
**********
"Tony!" I said and woke up with a start. My head was aching as if I had a hangover. A groan escaped my mouth as a dizzying throbbing sensation in my head came over me.
"Mrs Acland! You're awake!" an unfamiliar female voice said.
I looked toward the voice and found a woman in the room with me.
"Who? Who are you?" I asked the pretty woman who appeared to be in her late thirties. She was dressed in a nurse's uniform.
"My name is Anne I'm the nurse that's been assigned to you as you recover Mrs Acland," she started.
"Where's my son? I asked her.
" I don't know where your son is, you'll have to ask Mr Acland," she answered.
My eyes glanced around the unfamiliar room suddenly my memories of what I last remembered came to mind. The meeting I went to, the attack in the underground parking and lastly Tony being taken.
"Tony…" I said his name
"How long have I been asleep?" I asked her.
"About a week, Mrs Acland," she settled to call me ma'am call me Jasmine.
"Mrs Acland?" I repeated wondering why she kept calling me that. "My name is Jasmime, call me that.
"Where am I?" I asked her about the unfamiliar room. This looked like a bedrrom and not a hospital room.
"You and your husband brought you to you home," she replied.
"Husband?" my eyes widened. "Im sorry, what!?" I asked.
"Yes, your husband, Mr. Acland found you injured in a building brought you here," she explained as she looked at me as wondering why I didn't know what should be basic things about my life.
However, I ignored her reaction. Keith had been the one to find me? I thought to myself. I would have thought it would Louis who found me since he had to meet with me at the distribution center. I recalled my phone had rang during my fight with Tony's kidnapper and my assailant. He had picked up the call and placed my phone on my laps before I passed out. Had it been Keith on the call?
In any case after a week why was I still with him? My eyes looked around the room again. I hadn't been to Keith's estate since I was kicked out in my past life but I knew it didn't look like this. The color scheme was all wrong I need to get up.
I looked at my bedside table searching for my phone. It wasn't there. I had to contact Louis.
"Do you know where my phone is?' I asked Anne.
"Perhaps you can ask Mr Acland, but no one is allowed to have their phones on the premise," she explained.
As in?" I asked her to explain.
"As in when I clock in I hand my phone and we get them back when we leave. Mr Acland is doing it as a protective measure.
