"You must have lost your mind, and I'll help you find it," the words left my mind through gritted teeth."Even if you have the court order to be my guardian it only applies if I'm unwell enough to make my own decisions. Give me back my phone!" I demanded him.
I'm sure if I could contact the courts and show them I was capable of making decisions they would change their decision to make him my caretaker.
I thought of how bizarre his actions had been lately. He was always following me around, suddenly appearing and trying to disturb me. Like a bizarre obsession. Still, I never imagined it would result in something like this!
"Even if you keep me here, Louis will ask about me! He will question why I can't contact him!" I pointed it out to him.
"And even if he does Jasmine, I am legally your guardian and still your husband. I will still hold more power in the situation since he has no ties to you," he told me.
My eyes narrowed at how calculated this was.
Also, if he kept me from contacting anyone he could get away with it.
He had told me the reason none of the workers in this estate had their phones was to prevent them from scheming like Diana and her friends had been.
But that didn't apply to me though, I wouldn't betray myself. He didn't want me to have my phone so he could maintain this guardianship.
"Instead of pulling weird stunts like this why didn't you try to talk to me like a normal person first?" I asked him. I knew why but still decided to ask. He knows it I would have instantly refused.
He stared at me blankly as if he didn't hear me. My hands at my sides were balled into fists, annoyed by how it felt like he was toying with me.
I already had enough to deal with since Tony had been kidnapped, now I had to deal with Keith holding me against my will!
"You know Keith, I thought you finding out the truth about Diana would make you have SOME shame and remorse for what you put me through in the last two years," I started.
He then suddenly looked away from me as an expression of nervousness came over him. His eyes were unable to meet mine.
"We are technically in this mess because of you! I tried to tell you time and time again since the beginning that something was strange about Diana and her child. And what did you tell me, Keith!?" I let out. "You told me I was jealous and desperate for your attention."
"She was deceiving me, Jasmine. I had no idea how I had predicted she was capable of changing bank statements?" he explained.
My voice choked as my frustration boiled over. "Even if that's true Keith. You never gave me the benefit of the doubt. You believed her lies easily but when it came to me you were quick to doubt me and take her side!"
His jaw tensed as a conflicted expression appeared on his face.
"…I'm sorry Jasmine," he weakly apologized. "I was wrong and I made a mistake."
