Jasmine didn't have a formal education, but she was quite adept and capable; she had an understanding of accounting. As I looked out the window, the realisation that I was learning about her only now. In the past weeks, I had been watching her and her relationship, no fling, with the Carrington. I noticed how different and proactive she seemed.

Why was it that 'boy' was the one who got to see this side of her? If I knew she wanted to work or was interested in it I would have allowed it. As she was my arranged wife I thought she wanted to live the closeted simple life at home.

Upon arriving at the HQ I went straight to my office and sat at my desk. About 20 minutes later Edward came into the office and "Sir you arrived earlier than anticipated," Edward commented when he walked into my office.

"Yes, I finished what I was doing earlier," I said as my eyes focused on the folders on my desk. "Would you like an update on today's schedule, so far?" He asked me. "No, continue as normal, I will receive the update later. Don't disturb me until I call until my schedule officially starts after lunch and that goes for everyone else," I told him.

His face scrunched up in confusion. "Yes, sir," he still accepted however.

Upon Edward closing the door behind him I recalled I had to call the laboratory as I had promised Jasmine I would. I took out Jasmine's phone which I had taken with me and kept in my suit pocket. I switched it on and went to her emails. I had my men remove the password so I could easily access it. I knew Jasmine wouldn't have given me the password given the situation. I looked in the emails but didn't see any update from the laboratory. Even when I typed it out. Neither did I see any messages or calls. I called one of one of my men and had them go to the laboratory and inquire about the DNA results.

My focus then returned to the documents on my desk and what I was hoping to understand. I took out the draft papers Jasmine had been talking about from the folder I had brought with me.

Looking at the drafts it was difficult to tell what they were about as Jasmine said. There was no heading label just figures. I then took out the company's finance reports I had requested Edward to give me. Including all the comprehensive ones I had requested. I wanted to compare the drafts to the company finance records.

For months I had this gut feeling that something was wrong and the company finance records were being messed with but I never found anything wrong when I checked the documents. So I would brush it off thinking I was maybe I was imagining things but having Jasmine affirm this feeling I had me thinking maybe I was right to be suspicious.
