JASMINE’S POV
At the time I just thought it was a small bad habit of his. Never had I imagined it would affect me in such big way one day. When Diana returned, Keith took everything she told him at face value. She completely knew how to use that flaw of his to her advantage.
Personally I found the whole Diana, Marco situation suspicious. There was something off even though Marco did look exactly like Keith. I remembered the time we lived together in the same home in the awkward situation, Diana always kept Marco suspiciously by her side.
I understood she had to be close to him since he had sensitive skin but, I didn’t know. Sure Diana showed Keith the birth certificates and DNA tests to ’prove’ Marco was his but he should have done his due diligence as well. Just to make sure, he should have done his own tests and investigating.
I’m sure the fact Marco also looked exactly like him made him believe there was no need for further investigation I mean everyone else thought so too. However, he still should have done his due diligence.
The same way Diana framed me for things and presented believable evidence how could i know that the proof she showed about Marco being Keith’s son was true? Did Marco have sensitive skin as well or was she lying about that as well? Obviously, if I brought it up I would be labelled bitter and jealous. Honestly, I didn’t care anymore. This was Keith’s choice at the end of the day. He chose her, so she was his problem. I was going to distance myself from them and move on to something else with my life. I didn’t care about proving myself innocent to him anymore.
I walked away from the window once Keith and his cars had left. As I made my way to the kitchen to begin making dinner my attention was caught by the shopping bags all around the floor of the house. They hadn’t taken them with them. Right...because I had ’bought’ them. I would have to take care of them then.
I still couldn’t believe Keith had come himself to my house to see me. Never had I imagined he would do that. At this point in time he already hated me and didn’t wanted to see me. I didn’t think he’d notice I’d stopped trying to see him and hadn’t attended the Acland event. Perhaps that was enough to make him curious as to what I was up to and come to check on me.
I’m sure Diana frantically prepared everything when she found out he was coming to see me. She probably sent the servants early to clean up the house in time for his arrival thinking it was a mess. I’m sure the maids were surprised to find the house clean. I’m glad I got rid of all the maids as well as everything Keith provided with him present. Diana couldn’t play around with me anymore. was supposed I just hoped he wouldn’t come again I was literally fighting not to slap him the entire time. I feared I would have had the conversation prolonged.
I had tried to be civil with him and not yell at him as I spoke. However, I couldn’t help myself, especially since I was once again being accused of things I hadn’t done.
I entered the kitchen and began to make dinner. I had been worried that they had started cooking. It was clear they were planning on leaving on leaving once
"All the servants are gone," Tony commented when he came downstairs a little while later.
"Mmhmm," I responded to him.
"Okay," he accepted. "And what are all these bags for by the way?"
