Chapter 248: Pictures and dark rooms

JASMINE’S POV

"Ransom?" I said in horror.

I immediately stood up from the couch and ran to his side at the desk. After almost three weeks of no contact at all the culprit had finally sent a ransom note.

"What does it say?"

"The culprit wants my company shares..." he started.

I looked at the desktop screen standing beside Keith. It was a message sent from an email address that looked fake. I read through the email.

Chairman Acland, your son is safe.

If you want him to remain that way, follow these instructions exactly. Do not attempt to trace this communication. Any deviation will have consequences you will not like.

You will transfer controlling interest in your company to the entity named below.

Within the next 2 weeks, execute the following:

Transfer fifty-one per cent of your shares in Acland Holding Group to Silver Holdings Ltd. Dubai

Sign the enclosed documents resigning as Chairman and appointing the designated directors listed in the attached schedule.

Register the share transfer with the company registrar and provide confirmation.

Once the transfer has been completed and verified, you will receive instructions for the safe return of your son.

Your son will not be harmed as long as you cooperate.

I was shocked by the requirements of the kidnapper. That wanted it all.

As Keith reached the end of the email, I noticed something at the bottom.

"There are also pictures," I told him as I pointed at the images below on the email.

Keith clicked and my heart completely shattered as I looked at it. It was an image of Tony tied up with his hands behind his back

Not more than a since since Keith opened the email, he closed it again.

"Let me see," I demanded as I tried to see the

No," Keith refused. "You shouldn’t look at that."

"Why not?" I asked him.

"It’s too much for you," he went on.

"Keith, let me see! He’s my son," I demanded of him. I know my strategy was to be more strategic with how I talked to him, but right now, I couldn’t help it. Not when Tony was involved.

Keith reopened the pictures, and I immediately scanned through the various images of Tony tied up and his mouth taped over.

My heart sank even further. One thing stuck out to me the most, and it was the fear in his eyes.

"Tony.." I said my voice breaking.

My uncle then grabbed my face with his hand and squeezed my cheeks hard. "Ow!" I yelped out. 𝘧𝑟𝑒𝑒𝘸𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝘷𝑒𝓁.𝘤𝘰𝓂

"Well, I suppose you can blame me for that," he said. "But your dad was a jerk anyway, so he was going to hurt you anyway. I’m curious how much time you spend with your father? Has he ever spent time with you?"

I slowly shook my head in response. I didn’t spend a lot of time with my dad; he was always working and busy. But my mum was there for m,e and there was also Louis. My uncle then slowly released my face.

"Do you hate my dad? " I asked him. I knew I was answering his question with my question, and he hated that, but I was curious.

"With all my heart, and I hate your grandfather even more," he told me. He was asking me so many questions about Marco and my dad.

Did Uncle hate my Dad because he thinks Dad stole my grandfather from him? Is that why he wanted me to hate Marco?

"So you’re telling me you don’t hate your father after he abandoned you?" He asked me.

I shook my head. "No."

I didn’t hate Dad, I was just sad that he didn’t have time for me. But Mum and Louis helped me forget that pain a lot recently.

"And now you’re talking too much again. Well, anyway, time to get on with the pictures," he said.

He then brought his hands to my mouth whilst stretching something in his hand. I realised it was duct tape.

"No!" I said, realising what he was doing, but I was too late. He put the tape over my mouth.

My uncle then stood up, and the bodyguard who stood nearby was holding a camera in his hands.

"Take as many as you can," my uncle instructed him.
