Husband you've abandoned me Fine I'll focus on raising my son novel Chapter 261

Chapter 261: We had dinner together

I found myself feeling frustrated as I stared at Edward who sat coolly at the desk. He was completely unafraid. This man knew where he was keeping Tony; he actually knew where he was. I felt a deep throbbing in my heart. We were so close and yet we still hadn’t found where Keith was.

Keith took me outside the office after we were done with the interrogation.

"We’ve caught him, and yet he’s still demanding the ransom and for this to be sorted. How do we know he’s telling the truth and that we’ll?" I asked him.

"As I said to him in there, I won’t let him win, I will find Tony. We have our guy," he said to me with a determined tone.

He then spoke with the officers for some time as I watched just feeling emotionally exhausted.

"We’ll have to continue investigation him and find Anthony on our own," he told me. We’ll have to the send him off to the station. He’ll be on a high and intensive watch. We don’t want him trying anything. The police will

"Okay," I accepted his answer.

"We’ve already tied him to several things related to Diana and the plan to have us kidnapped.

It was several more hours as we waited for more information to be gathered and obtained by Keith’s men and the police whilst we were in his office. As I waited, I felt my body grow tired as the hours passed.

From the evidence Keith’s men had gathered, he had been the one to purchase the apartment in Kensington where Diana lived under his many aliases.

I wonder what happened after I died in my previous life. Their whole plan all along was to take control using Marco before I intervened, I suppose.

Keith seemed to notice that as he looked at me. He then drew close to me.

"Jasmine, go home," Keith told me. "We’ll discuss the situation tomorrow I’ll stay here for now and sort this out.

"No, Keith, I want to stay," I firmly told him. "We have to find Tony. Until we find him I won’t go home."

However, he firmly refused.

"Yes, you will," he told me as his hand came to my cheek. "I know you’re worried and anxious and so am I. You’ve had a long day and we barely slept last night. I’m just going to finish off here and I’ll follow suit but you have to go home."

"No, I ref-" I started, however, before I could even finish, he’d already swept me off my feet. I internally sighed. I should have known it would end like this. When Keith makes a decision that concerns me, it’s final. My lips pressed together in annoyance as he carried me with my head resting against his shoulder.

There was no point fighting it. It was going to be his way. I just didn’t expect the day to end like this. We found the culprit, but Tony’s whereabouts were still a mystery.

"Take my wife home," he ordered. Some of the bodyguards to follow us.

"Keith, wait, at least let me take a documents on everything Edward has done so I can look at it," I tried to plead with him.

He looked down at me momentarily and then signalled to his bodyguards beside us. "Bring a folder for her."

One of them quickly went back to get it.

We took the elevator, and he took me down to the entrance lobby.

A car was already waiting by the HQ entrance. The car door was opened by one of the bodyguards and he placed me inside.

He didn’t have to take to the car himself but it’s Keith we’re talking about. He wants to make sure I don’t try anything or to runaway even in this moment when we’re supposed to be focused on finding Tony. Why am I surprised?

"Don’t stay up late," Was the last thing he told me.

On the ride back the day played out in my mind.

I was so sure we had finally found Tony I thought we were finally going to bring him home. I recalled Edwards odd behaviour whilst we were interrogating him. We have him cornered, and he still won’t give up.

Where is he keeping Tony? Is he even still al—

No.
