ANTHONY’S POV
As Marco and I played football I looked around for the window of the basement room.
It had been two days since I had been released from the weird punishment room int he basement. When I came out Marco told me that he had been in there many times before growing up.
There was an area where I found as we made our way to the house.
If I managed to finally find the window to the room I had been I would know which way I could go to try to escape.
"Any time you are rude to my father or say something you shouldn’t he’ll put you in that room," he had told me.
Well Marco doesn’t realise I actually want to go back in that room. I put the rope in the toilet so that I could use it when I go back in there. The problem was how was I going to go back int there?
Another problem was that I needed help. I tried hooking the rope several times and never managed to reach it.
Maybe if I had someone help to lift me, like if Marco helped me that could work. But Marco was afraid of his father. I don’t know if he’d agree to hep me. But I knew he wasn’t happy with how things were. How could I convince him?
**********
The following day Marco and I were colouring in his room int he afternoon just after lunch. We were lying on the carpet in his room similar to the one at the previous mansion.
I looked at what Marco was colouring in front of me for a moment. I noticed his hair which had grown longer since I last saw him. Like his eyes, his real hair was a different colour
"Can I ask what was it like growing up here?" I asked him as we coloured in together. I was curious about Marco’s life before he and his mother moved into my father’s home.
"Well my mum and dad were teaching me how to behave and act when I pretended to be your brother and that your dad was my dad. They didn’t want me to make any mistakes..." he said as his voice grew quiet.
My eyes widened. He had to do training. I remembered how I always used to think Marco was so lucky that my father had chosen him to be his son. That his life was so perfect but he had been suffering too.
my mum and I stayed here with my dad all the time.
"You had another house? I asked in surprise.
"Yeah we had a another house in another city that’s nearby," he said. "But we rarely visited it. Only to stay there for a few days and then we would come back here."
I saw my uncle coming out of the area of the mansion where they had put that sleeping lady with the red hair.
