Chapter 286: No Turning back now

"So it was a deadened in the end?"

"Unfortunately. In these two days police have been searching the old mine tunnels they found nothing. I think Edward’s trying to buy time or to throw us off course. My theory is he’s rented out or purchased many apartments so

"God, Edward is really torturing us," she said with a pained expression.

"I plan to finish off my plan be incase I don’t find Anthony," I told her.

"Yeah?" She replied in a question.

"I told you I will figure this out no matter what ," I assured.

I left out the fact that second email from the same untraceable email from Edward. I didn’t want to stress her out. Given how everything was going.

After dinner, I led her to my room and continued explaining my plan to her.

I received a call from the

I found her standing on my balcony. "What are you thinking about?" I asked her as I came up behind her. I kissed the top of her head.

"Nothing really,"

I thought of the hickeys I had seen on her neck from the Carrington. I didn’t have to worry about anymore.

"Keith," she complained as giggled.

"Let’s go back inside. It’s cold out here," I said as I scooped her up.

"My legs fully healed. I’m fine," she told me.

"I know," I answered as I walked through the door entering my room. I placed her on my bed. I would be lying that seeing her on my bed didn’t have me imagining things I wished I could do to her.

With Anthony missing it would be inappropriate to take things any further. However, when I found him, I wouldn’t hold back.

"You should get some sleep. I’ll see you later," I said to her.

"Okay, stay safe out there," she asked me.

I gently kissed her on her forehead and then her lips. When I pulled away my eyes met hers and searched them. A deep sense of longing came over me as I was pulled in by her.

"Jasmine, I love you," I suddenly blurted out. "I want you to know that."

Her eyes widened in surprise. "Keith..." she started as she searched my eyes taken aback.

"You don’t have to give me an answer. You don’t have to say anything at all," I told her. I knew I was dumping this on her suddenly.

"I know our relationship...our marriage hasn’t been the best. The last 9 years. I know I betrayed you and Anthony when I chose Diana and but I promised you I’ll make it right," I explained. "Everything will be different this time. For you and for Tony when I find him. I treat you how things should have been when I

He took special liberty in the kisses he gave me all night. Just one after another. I had mentally prepped myself in the bathroom but I still wasn’t ready.

"Stay safe and come back to me," I said to him in encouragement with a small smile. He touched my cheek for a final time.

"You should get some rest, I’ll see you tomorrow evening," he told me. He then turned away and then left my room.

A sigh of relief escaped me once the door closed and I was alone in his room.

I took out my phone and went straight to my chat with Louis. I don’t care if working with Keith and finding Anthony hearing that made me determined to find him on my own. It was now or never. I had a name. Time to finally get out of this mess.

"Think you can get me tomorrow afternoon?" I asked Louis.

"You’re ready?" He replied.

’Yes.’ I replied. I more or less had a good idea of how security of the estate worked. I think I was ready and could manage. It would be best if I left when Keith wasn’t at the estate and he left during the day.

’I’ll be there." He confirmed. I felt relieved seeing that. I was also a little worried since he should probably be at work. I was grateful for the time he was making for me.

’If I don’t make it you’ll know I failed," I typed my next message to him.

I paused before I sent it. If I failed, the consequences would be catastrophic. Considering how volatile Keith was, I wasn’t sure what he would do to me. My thoughts went to his strength as kissed me and the way he beat Edward up last week. I don’t know if I would survive Keith’s wrath if I couldn’t afford to fail...
