Chapter 97: That wasn’t part of the plan

"A man?" another woman chimed in.

"She has a lover now?"

"Funny enough, I also heard she was also seen with a man at a racing event as well. At the time I didn’t think much of it but it was interesting," another woman stated as well.

My eyes narrowed in suspicion. Jasmine had a boyfriend now? It had been two weeks since I last saw her. Wasn’t her scheme this whole time to get Keith’s attention? Now she was suddenly with another man.

"Who is he?" Another woman asked.

"I don’t know I didn’t recognize him, he’s not from our social circles," Catherind said. "He seemed wealthy though and young," Catherine continued.

" is she actually moving on from the Chairman Acland?" another asked.

"But with a younger man?"

"Or perhaps she’s trying to make Chairman Acland jealous. Why else would you date a younger guy?"

"Probably desperate and grasping at straws. I mean when the Chairman eventually leaves her she’l having nothing won’t she?"

Catherine scoffed. " After all this time of torturing poor Diana. Now she going out sad. Serves her right," she said.

I had worked so hard to make them like me and turn against Jasmine. After talking and eating for a while the brunch came to end a little late in the afternoon. After Marco and I arrived home I went to relax in one of my sitting rooms whilst Marco had a tutoring lesson.

Keith wasn’t home, in fact, he had been working late for the past week.

After a moment one of my bodyguards came to me.

"Ma’am, I have an update on the mans whose details you requested the last week," he started.

"What about him?" I asked.

"He’s been arrested." the bodyguard informed me.

My eyes widened in horror. "What why?!"

I read the first paragraph and it said Andrew Gatwick had been arrested.

What the hell? I wondered to myself. I had a feeling he was a sleazy guy and the timing of it as well is just all over the place.

I then stopped myself. Why am I worried I thought to myself? It’s not like anything bad had happened yet. It’s not like her having a rich boyfriend was going to expose everything I had done to her.
