Not long after Noah left with Lorelei, Wynette did not stay at the studio either.
After reminding Jasmine not to get into any direct conflict with Lorelei again, Wynette left the office.
Outside the building, Adriel’s car was still parked in the same spot.
Wynette had not expected him to actually wait for her the entire time, and a strange feeling stirred in her chest.
As she walked toward him, Adriel had already opened the door and stepped out of the car.
He walked over and asked, “All done?”
“Yeah,” Wynette answered quietly.
His eyes lingered on her face. Something about her expression looked off. She did not seem very happy.
Did things with Noah end worse than he expected?
Adriel cleared his throat. “Let’s go. Back to the hospital.”
Even though she had already received treatment for the allergic reaction, she still needed to return to the hospital for observation.
His gaze lowered slightly when he noticed the large patch of redness still visible on her neck.
Realizing he was still looking at her, Wynette pulled her collar tighter to cover the rash. “Is it still that bad?”
Adriel replied casually, “It’s not too bad.”
Then he gestured for her to get in the car.
After she got in, Wynette stayed silent and made no move to start a conversation.
Adriel noticed her mood but said nothing. He only glanced at her from the corner of his and gave her space to calm down.
The car ride passed in silence.
Just as they were about to reach the hospital, Wynette’s phone rang.
She glanced at the caller ID and answered.

shares you’re holding. When do you want to meet them and talk about the price?”
Before Wynette could respond, Adriel had already turned his eyes toward her.
His gaze deepened as he looked at her.
He was almost certain he had just heard his little sister’s voice.
Wynette noticed him looking at her and smiled slightly.

Then she lowered her voice and said, “Tomorrow works. You can arrange the time. I’m free.”
The person calling was Wynette’s best friend and Adriel’s younger sister, Joanne Gallagher.
Strangely enough, even though Wynette did not get along with Adriel, she had become close friends with his sister.
Joanne knew Wynette did not like her brother very much, so she rarely mentioned Adriel in front of her.
She had no idea Wynette was currently sitting right next to him.
Not long after leaving the hospital earlier, Wynette had already asked Joanne, who worked at a law firm, to help check if anyone was interested in buying the shares she held in the studio.
Things with Noah had reached a point Wynette never expected.
Working together anymore was completely impossible.
Since things had come to this, Wynette decided immediately to sell the shares she held.
She truly meant to cut ties with Noah completely.
When Joanne heard that, she immediately cheered. “You finally opened your eyes. I told you that jerk wasn’t right for you. If it weren’t for your sake, I would’ve beaten him up a long time ago.”
Because of Adriel, Joanne had always disliked Noah as well.
She had openly argued with Noah in front of Wynette more than once.
In Joanne’s eyes, someone like Noah was not even as good as her own dear brother.
If Wynette had not disliked her brother since they were young, Joanne would have tried to set them up long ago.
Now that Wynette had finally decided to dump Noah, Joanne felt like celebrating with fireworks.

Hearing her friend’s nonstop insults about Noah, Wynette simply smiled and said nothing.
She listened quietly as Joanne complained about Noah from beginning to end.
Only after Joanne finished venting did Wynette say softly, “Thanks for helping me.”
“No problem. I’ll set it up for tomorrow night. I’ll be back in the afternoon.” Joanne replied.
She was currently on a business trip in a nearby city and would not return to Scenaville until
tomorrow.
When Wynette sold her house earlier, it had also been Joanne who helped find the buyer.
Wynette smiled and answered, “Okay.”
Soon after, Joanne hung up because a colleague was urging her to hurry.
Wynette noticed that Adriel was still glancing at her.
Adriel broke the silence first. “Joanne?”
He had always known that his younger sister and Wynette were close.
Joanne mentioned Wynette often in front of him, usually while complaining about Noah being a terrible guy.
Every time, Adriel simply listened quietly.
He had recognized Joanne’s voice earlier.
When Adriel asked about it, Wynette did not hide anything. “Yeah. I asked her to help me with something.”
She did not explain what the matter was in front of him.
In her mind, it was her personal business.
But Adriel had already heard everything clearly.
He asked again, “You asked Joanne to help you sell the shares you have in the studio?”
“You heard it.” Wynette looked straight at him.
If he heard everything, why is he asking again?
Adriel noticed the impatience in her tone.
He simply smiled. “The CEO of Evercrest Media, Marcus Whitmore, has some history with Noah. If he buys your shares now, he probably has another motive.”

Marcus had almost gotten into a fight with Noah at a business dinner before.
The incident had caused quite a stir.
After that conflict, whenever the two of them met in public, the tension between them was obvious.
At least Noah and Adriel still maintained a bit of surface politeness.
But Marcus and Noah openly could not stand each other.
Wynette knew about that as well.
She smiled slightly at Adriel. “So what? Their feud has nothing to do with me selling my shares.”
“As long as I sell the shares and get the money, the rest isn’t my concern.”
Wynette understood exactly what Adriel meant.
He assumed that even though she and Noah had fallen out, everyone in Scenaville still knew how deeply she once loved him.
In the past, Wynette would have stood on Noah’s side no matter what.
But since she had already decided to end things completely, Noah’s position no longer had anything to do with her.
Adriel pressed his lips together and studied her expression.
Wynette did not care and continued speaking. “Besides, Marcus and Noah can’t stand each other. If Marcus wants to get under Noah’s skin, the shares I’m holding are exactly what he
wants.”
“That means he’ll definitely pay a high price for them. For me, this deal isn’t a loss at all. Anyone who turns down easy money is a fool. I’m not stupid enough to pass up a good opportunity like that.”
Wynette let out a cold laugh.
She truly did not care what happened to Noah anymore.
