I Choose Him, Your Worst Enemy novel Chapter 51

Chapter 51 Tears, Lies, and Ultimatums

Joanne was fierce. The moment she opened her mouth, she shut everyone down.

Flushed

Wynette patted her shoulder. When Joanne looked over, Wynette gave her a thumbs–up, praising her without a word. Nice.

Joanne raised an eyebrow, pleased with herself.

Of course she was good. She had plenty of experience arguing people into silence, and she never let herself lose.

Everyone fell silent, Joanne looked at them with clear disdain.

Noal glanced at her. “Well deserved to be Mr. Gallagher’s sister. You sure know how to talk. Not surprised you got it. Wynette threw a fit against me in just a few words.”

So that was it. He finally understood why Wynette had changed so much lately.

It was Joanne. She had been whispering in Wynette’s ear, backing her up.

Wynette had gotten so bold because of her.

Noah had never liked the Gallaghers, especially Joanne.

After all, she was Adriel’s sister.

Joanne almost laughed when she heard him. Was he blaming her?

He was the shameless one, messing around with another woman and greedily wanting everything.

The nerve of him, trying to pin his disgusting behavior on someone else.

Joanne was so mad she could barely stand it.

Wynette pulled her behind her and looked straight at Noah. “If you’re a jerk, don’t drag other people into it. Noah, are you even a man? If you are, then own your mistake. That’s just gross to keep a side chick when you’re already taken.

“You were in the wrong, and you’re blaming my friend? Your friends can stand there and lie to my face, but mine isn’t allowed to speak up?”

She let out a cold scoff. “Double standard. Even an animal knows better.”

With that, she basically called out everyone there.

Wynette didn’t care how they felt.

The moment they started looking down on her and judging her, they lost the right to any kindness from

her.

Noah stood there, cold and stiff. So, she was hell–bent to go against him now.

Chapter 51 Tears. Lies, and Ultimatums

Finished

His eyes slowly darkened.

Lorelei glanced around, then spoke to Wynette softly. “Wynette, it’s fine if Joanne wants to stand up for you, but she was too harsh.,

“Everyone here just wants you and Noah to work things out. Maybe they don’t speak nicely, but they meant well. How can you not see that and saying all these to defend Joanne?”

That was almost funny.

Noah’s friends had just trampled all over her with stupid comments. Somehow Lorelei twisted it into them caring about her relationship?

What feelings were left to talk about?

They had broken up, and it ended ugly.

Couldn’t they see something that obvious?

It was honestly laughable.

But because Lorelei spoke up for everyone, they quickly took her side. The way they looked at Wynette was full of blame.

Wynette gave her a cold glance. “Since when do you get to speak here?”

Lorelei’s face went pale. She looked completely embarrassed.

She bit her lower lip and said softly, “I know you don’t like me. But I don’t want everyone to take your anger for no reason. There’s no point for you two to keep arguing like this, right?

“Wynette, I’ve told you before. There’s nothing going on between us. If it bothers you, I can leave Scenaville. I can go far away and never come back. As long as you and Noah can be happy, I’ll do whatever it takes.”

After that, she turned to Noah. “This is my fault. You two shouldn’t keep fighting because of me. I rely on you too much, but I can change. Talk to her nicely. Don’t speak so harshly. Not many women can handle your temper.”

“Blaaargh!”

Joanne listened to Lorelei’s fake, sugary speech. She bent over like she was about to throw up. “I can’t take this. I’m going to puke. How can someone be this disgusting? ‘As long as you’re happy. I’ll sacrifice myself–seriously?”

She straightened and pointed right at her. “Hey, lady, aren’t you the reason their relationship fell apart? Why are you acting all innocent and noble now? Wynette doesn’t need your ‘sacrifice. But Noah’s ‘happiness? Yeah, that probably needs you to offer up your body.”

The more Joanne spoke, the more she rolled her eyes.

She didn’t even try to hide it. She dragged Lorelei’s dirty little thoughts right out into the open.

Apologize again.

Luckily, the people around her reacted fast and grabbed her.

“Wynette, you’ve gone too far! Do you really want to push her to death? How can you be this cruel?”

“I think she’s doing this on purpose. She’s heartless. Lorelei, calm down. Don’t fall into her trap.”

Chapter 51 Tears, Lies, and Ultimatums

“Mr. Shepherd-”

Fuushed

Everyone rushed to hold Lorelei back, calling for Noah to come comfort her, while blaming Wynette at the same time.

It was a mess.

Somehow, Lorelei found her strength and broke free from the grip.

But the moment she passed Noah, he caught her easily and pulled her into his arms.

She cried softly, “Noah, let me go! I don’t want to live anymore… Let me die.”

Noah tightened his arms around her and gently tried to calm her down.

Then his voice turned cold. “Wynette. Apologize. Bow and apologize to Lorelei.”

Joanne exploded again. “What kind of nonsense is that?! Bow?! In your dreams! Get lost!”

Wynette looked at Noah with no expression. A mocking grin started to appear on her lips.

Apologize?

Yeah, right.

She suddenly stepped forward, one step at a time.
