Chapter 56 I Don’t Like This About You
Joanne brought Wynette to find Adriel.
Finished
They had just pushed the door open when they overheard a loud voice through the crack. “Adriel, you have a crush on someone?”
What?
Joanne blinked, thinking she must have heard wrong.
Adriel has a crush?
And I didn’t know about this?
Oh no. Oh no! What should I do?
Her curiosity lit up right away. She was dying to know the gossip.
Excited, Joanne grabbed Wynette’s hand and pulled her forward. She was eager to rush in and hear everything firsthand.
She didn’t notice the change in Wynette’s expression.
Adriel has someone he likes?
Then… why did he propose to me?
Wynette didn’t think, even for a second, that she was the crush. She just couldn’t understand why he chose to marry her.
With that thought in mind, she let Joanne pull her into the room.
Adriel kicked Gavin the moment his voice came through the microphone.
Just as Wynette and Joanne stepped inside, Gavin was sent flying and landed right in front of them, almost like he was showing the girls the greatest respect.
Both girls step back in shock.
Lying on the floor, Gavin roared, “What the heck?! Are you trying to kill me?!”
Then he looked up and saw Joanne and Wynette. He shut his mouth right away.
Gavin scrambled to his feet and shot Adriel an annoyed look.
When Adriel saw Wynette, his eyes shifted away without a word.
Wynette froze.
He didn’t seem happy to see me.

Chapter 56 Don’t Like This About You
She lowered her eyes, hiding her feelings.
Standing next to Joanne, she suddenly felt a little awkward.
As usual, Joanne didn’t notice the tension. She pulled Wynette over to Adriel.
“Wynette wanted to come check on you.” Joanne said, sitting them down beside him.
Both Adriel and Gavin looked at Wynette.
Their stares made her even more uncomfortable.
Gavin looked at Adriel in confusion. “Hey, since when are you so close with Noah’s girl?”
He didn’t care that Wynette was right there. He just said what was on his mind.
Wynette’s face flushed in embarrassment.
Adriel shot Gavin a cold look, clearly telling him to shut up.
Finished
Joanne walked over and smacked Gavin on the forehead. “What’s wrong with you? If you don’t know how to talk, then zip it. Wynette has nothing to do with that jerk anymore. Got it? They broke up. Understand?”
She glared at him as a warning. Gavin was a simpleton and always spoke without thinking.
If he dared to say anything worse, she was ready to knock some sense into him.
Gavin almost blurted something out again.
Under Joanne’s glare, he quickly pressed his lips shut.
Gavin was sizing up Wynette from the corner of his eye.
In the end, he spoke. “Good thing you broke up. A girl as pretty as you can get any man you like. But you had to go for a jerk like him? I felt bad for you back then.”
To be honest, Gavin hated Noah just as much as Adriel did.
Gavin shot her a proud look. See? I can play along well.
He was still mad?
