I Choose Him, Your Worst Enemy novel Chapter 88

Chapter 88 Don’t Be Scared

Fumehed

These days, new studios pop up all the time, but a lot of people still don’t have a platform to grow on.

There are plenty of artists who were good at design who post their work on forums and different websites.

Honestly, a lot of their designs are just as good as what you’d see from professional studios or company designers.

When Wynette later built her company, most of the people hired into the design department were online designers.

Since established studios didn’t want to go up against Shepherd Group, but it didn’t mean Wynette had no options.

After hearing Wynette’s instructions, Shirley hung up right away.

By the time the call ended, Adriel had already finished cleaning the kitchen and walked over.

He’d heard the whole conversation.

Looking at her, he asked politely, “Need my help?”

He wanted to jump in and show her what he could do, but…

Based on how Wynette handled things just now, she probably didn’t need him.

Adriel sighed to himself, a little disappointed.

“No, I’m good,” Wynette said without hesitation. “I can handle these little games.”

When one path closes, another opens.

She didn’t think she was at a dead end yet–nowhere near needing to ask for help.

Seeing how confident she looked, Adriel crossed his arms. “How did you even come up with the idea to cast such a wide net like that?”

That caught him off guard, in a good way.

He’d actually wanted to say he could bring in his own team to join Jewell Group–people just as skilled as the group taken by Shepherd Group.

Back when Shepherd Group pulled out, he had already planned to reach out to Wynette.

But she had filled the gap almost instantly with a professional team. The speed was unbelievable,

It made people wonder if she had already been prepared.

Adriel immediately had Blaze look into it.

The results surprised him even more.

He found out Wynette had a fashion company under her name, built two and a half years ago.

It had been tough in the beginning, but in just one year, she had turned it into a recognized brand.

No one knew how hard that was except Wynette herself.

Wynette thought for a moment, then answered honestly, “When I first started my company, I couldn’t openly recruit people. If I made too much noise, it would attract attention from the Shepherds. Even though the company was under my friend’s name, I still had to be careful.

“For a while, I used to stay up late gaming to blow off steam. I liked browsing forums and reading the gossip and threads. Then I realized there were a lot of artists whose work was actually really good. So I started reaching out to them.”

At first, Wynette just commissioned different kinds of work. Clothes, characters, even fan art.

Over time, she filtered through and started recruiting the ones who were more interested in fashion design.

Some of them actually started with character art, but after joining the company, they slowly got into clothing and jewelry design.

That’s how Wynette’s brand, BareHue, was able to rise so quickly.

By blending in a lot of current trends, the designs had captured the hearts of plenty of young people.

Wynette lowered her gaze. “Back then, I used this exact method to grow BareHue fast. Sift through enough sand, and eventually you’ll find gold.”

Old methods still worked.

Adriel looked at her intently. “You’re just telling me you own a company like that? Aren’t you might tell someone?”

worried I

“What’s there to worry about?” Wynette smiled. “I kept it hidden before because it would’ve caused trouble. Now the timing’s right. What’s there to be afraid of?”

Then she pointed at him. “Besides, I’ve got you backing me now. The Shepherds can’t touch me. And I believe you wouldn’t just sit back and watch your partner get crushed.”

It wasn’t that she didn’t trust Adriel–otherwise, she wouldn’t have told him so much today.

She just didn’t want to complicate things or create unnecessary trouble.

Adriel watched Wynette closely. It wasn’t hard to tell from her expression that she was holding something

back.

He didn’t ask if it was because of him.

The fact that she had already been this open with him today was enough to show she trusted him.

Wynette had her own pace, and Adriel didn’t want to push.

He looked at her, reached out, and gently ruffled her hair. His voice softened. “Go ahead. Do whatever you want to do. Don’t be scared. I’ve got your back. You still have me.”

Wynette looked up at him.

Chapter 85 Dont Be Scared

Finished

His words landed quietly in her heart. It stirred something in her.

Even after Adriel went upstairs to take care of something, Wynette was still thinking about what he had just said.

She wasn’t sure if it was just her imagination.

But it felt like there was something deeper behind his words.

Like…

No matter what happened, he would always be there for her.

Wynette quickly shook off the thought.

She figured she was just overthinking it.

There was no way Adriel was actually that gentle.
