Rena was shell-shocked.
Not only was he definitely not an old man, he was undeniably gorgeous. Even wearing a mask and casual clothes, his overwhelming charisma was impossible to hide.
She felt entirely deflated—not because Sienna's boyfriend was hot, which had nothing to do with her.
But because the narrative she had stubbornly championed had just been completely dismantled. The proof was right there; everything proved she had been spreading false rumors.
It felt like a very public slap in the face.
Rena forced a smile. "Probably just a friend or something. I mean, if I had an old sugar daddy picking me up from work, I'd be embarrassed too."
A colleague objected, "What's there to be embarrassed about? Didn't Sienna say it herself that day?"
Rena shot her a glare. "So you're saying she's a liar?"
The colleague choked, falling silent. Another coworker chimed in, "Who's calling her a liar? It was obviously a joke. Rena, you're way too obsessed with other people's business."
"Seriously. Just look at that build, those long legs. Plus, he's so attentive. They look great together."
"I knew it. Why would Sienna date an old man? She sounded like she was joking that day."
"Not gonna lie, did anyone else think he looked a bit like Mr. Vaughn?"
"He really did! They're both incredibly hot..."
Rena interrupted, "We didn't even see his face! Plus, Mr. Vaughn only wears custom-tailored suits. He's a fashion icon. He would never be caught dead in cheap, unbranded clothes."
She spun on her heel and stormed off.
The colleagues exchanged looks.
"Looking good in casual clothes is just a different vibe, right? Nobody dresses in a stiff suit and tie every single day like Mr. Vaughn..."
"Exactly, they just said they looked similar. No one said he was Mr. Vaughn. Why did she overreact so much?"
"Hey, if Mr. Vaughn started a livestream looking that good, I'd be the first to tip him."
"Like he needs your spare change."
"She was probably just embarrassed after dragging us all over to look and being proven wrong."
"Whatever... it's noon, let's go get lunch."
One colleague craned her neck and shouted at Rena's retreating back, "Don't forget the month of lattes! I want a Caramel Macchiato!"

In the backseat of the taxi, it took Sienna a long time to gather the courage to remove her hands from her face.
