I Fell for the Man Who Ruined Me, Then He Forgot He Ever Loved Me Back novel Chapter 186

Jorrod pulled the door open and walked in.

Once his figure vanished from sight, Sienna glared at the crack in the door.

She ground her teeth, barely holding back her fury.

Looking forward to it, my ass.

She was looking forward to the day she could stab him.

Sienna yanked the door open and followed him inside.

Janice was left standing in the hallway.

Aside from pure terror, she couldn't help but marvel at the bizarre encounter.

They sounded identical. How could two people have the exact same voice?

Still, she preferred Sienna's boyfriend, the one who politely called her 'Boss' with such a gentle tone...

Although it was an executive meeting, the room was filled with familiar colleagues. VP Davis was usually so approachable that the atmosphere was typically relaxed—some people even brought their unfinished morning coffees inside.

The moment Jorrod walked in, the entire vibe shifted.

He didn't say a word, walking straight to the furthest corner and taking a seat.

It felt like a strict principal barging into a rowdy classroom. Everyone instantly straightened their spines.

The colleague who had brought coffee quietly placed it on the floor.

"What's going on? Nobody said the CEO was coming. I brought my coffee..."

"Coffee is fine. Quinton brought a whole breakfast burrito."

"..." She instinctively looked toward Quinton.

Before she could spot him, a coworker nudged her arm. "Don't look. He just inhaled the whole thing in two bites and is secretly choking while looking for water."

"Two bites??"

"What else could he do? That thing smells."

"..."

It was the first time Jorrod had spoken during the entire meeting. It was also the first time Sienna had bothered to look in his direction.

"How much?" Jorrod asked casually, not even bothering to look up.

"9.5%," Sienna repeated patiently, assuming he was just trying to pick a fight.

"Read it properly before you speak."

Sienna froze. She quickly glanced back at the screen.

That was when she realized the numbers on the slide were slightly blurry. She had misread 8.6 as 9.5.

"My apologies, I misspoke," Sienna said. "The Southern region is 8.6%. Please refer to this corrected data."

Misreading a data point in a meeting was a common occurrence. Normally, the presenter apologized, and everyone moved on.

Sienna had already looked back at the screen, her next line ready to go.

But Jorrod looked up. "You can't even read a number off a screen correctly. After all this preparation, is this the level of competence The Administrative Department brings to the table?"

"And another thing." Jorrod's gaze swept past Sienna's face, locking onto the slide she hadn't flipped yet.
