Sienna refused to give him that. "I wouldn't let the door slam on a stray dog either."

Jorrod simply nodded. "That's fine, too."

What did he mean, that's fine too? Sienna nearly laughed out of sheer frustration.

"What exactly do you want?"

"To talk to you."

"Fine." Sienna completely gave up trying to reason with him. "What do you want to talk about? I'm listening. Make it quick, I'm busy."

He fully stepped over the threshold, pulling the door shut behind him.

With a solid click, the space instantly shrank, turning stiflingly intimate.

His broad frame completely blocked her in.
