I Fell for the Man Who Ruined Me, Then He Forgot He Ever Loved Me Back novel Chapter 347

The scuffle lasted for a few minutes.

Miles was completely overpowered, spending the entire time getting one-sidedly thrashed.

George didn't escape completely unscathed; Miles played dirty, slashing a set of keys across George's cheek, leaving a bleeding gash.

Eventually, other workers rushed in and managed to pull them apart.

Most of the men who intervened were under Miles's thumb. Because of George's height, he could easily see over the crowd, and his eyes locked onto Arthur Carter standing near the back. Arthur immediately averted his gaze, quietly stepping over to Miles's side.

He looked entirely cowardly, caught between not wanting to be involved and not daring to leave.

Seeing his former "friend" act this way, George simply let out a cold scoff.

With the factory director out, someone reported the incident directly to the General Manager.

When the message reached Miles, he frowned.

The General Manager was currently entertaining a VIP?

A worker whispered to Miles, "I heard it's the main investor."

Miles completely brushed it off.

Apex Manufacturing was currently dominating Aurelia, expanding at a breakneck pace. Even the old, established giants had been crushed under their momentum.

An investor? He sneered.

If this guy didn't want to invest, ten others would line up for the chance. Everyone wanted a piece of this pie.

Besides, his uncle's son-in-law was the current General Manager. The GM had to defer to him. There was absolutely no way he was going to let George get away with this.

He refused to swallow this insult.

He wasn't going to let George sleep peacefully tonight.

Firing George wouldn't give him any satisfaction. He wouldn't fire him—he would keep him here and make him suffer.

Miles's eyes darted over George and the few workers standing behind him, trying to comfort him. He memorized their faces.

He wouldn't let a single one of these men stay. He was going to make George feel overwhelmingly guilty for dragging them down. That was the ultimate revenge.
