She waited for about ten minutes.
Footsteps approached, sounding like they were heading straight for her table.
She didn't get up, simply pouring a glass of water for the newcomer before turning her head.
When she saw who it was, Sienna's eye twitched, and she barely held back a string of profanities.
"Liam, what the hell are you doing here?" Sienna frowned. "Wait, how did you even know I was here tonight?"
Liam ignored her question and simply pulled out a chair.
Right in front of her, he had the absolute audacity to just sit down. Just sit down. Down...
"I just want a chance to talk to you." That was his excuse, but what he really wanted to know was who exactly had managed to replace him.
Sienna didn't even have time to start yelling at him.
In her peripheral vision, she saw someone storming toward their table with a deep frown.
Julian looked exactly like a strict school principal who had just caught a student sneaking around on a date, marching over with absolute authority.
Liam stood up, making no effort to hide anything. He introduced himself flatly as Sienna's ex-boyfriend.
At the same time, his eyes swept Julian up and down with obvious hostility and calculation.
The phrase 'ex-boyfriend' instantly triggered Julian's combat radar.
He vividly remembered George's strict instructions to monitor his cousin's love life, especially any 'ex-boyfriends'.
He had heard the guy was disgustingly handsome and perfectly matched Sienna's type, making a reconciliation highly likely. He was supposed to report back immediately if there were any signs of them getting back together.
This must be the guy, then.
'Disgustingly handsome' might have been an exaggeration, but he was undeniably good-looking and looked decent standing next to his cousin.
So, just as Sienna was glaring daggers at Liam and about to tell him to get the hell out, Julian, without introducing himself, generously offered him a seat. "Let's eat together. I'm actually quite curious about you."
Soon, the waiter returned with the menu, casting a gossipy gaze over the two men's faces.
Wow, this was new. Two guys, both incredibly hot.
Julian took charge of ordering.
Halfway through, he even asked Liam what he wanted with feigned politeness.
The waiter's heart pounded as they shot Sienna a look of pure awe.
It looked like they were getting along perfectly. Truly an inspiration.
