I Fell for the Man Who Ruined Me, Then He Forgot He Ever Loved Me Back novel Chapter 372

"No, no, he's Jorrod Vaughn."

Meeting Scott's earth-shattering gaze, Sienna officially cleared Jorrod's name. "It was him last time too. We were just having a lovers' spat."

She didn't necessarily have to explain all this, but leaving Liam Carter's name attached to him was just too unlucky.

The couple had walked far away.

Scott remained frozen in place.

A sudden chill rushed over his heart, his spine stiffening. He remembered that, back then, he had literally called the man a bastard right to Jorrod Vaughn's face...

-

Jorrod only grabbed two packs of Sweet Bean Pastries from the shelf.

Once back in the car, Sienna asked, "Weren't we supposed to buy that stuff?"

"What stuff?"

"Condoms. Do you suffer from amnesia the second you step outside?"

Jorrod stared at her, his thin lips suddenly curling into a soft, low chuckle. Sienna realized he was just messing with her on purpose.

Before she could retort, he casually pulled a plastic shopping bag from beside his leg and handed it to her.

Sienna took it. Upon opening it, she found a literal mountain of condoms inside. Every brand and style imaginable was packed in, with one glaring exception—they were all uniformly extra-large.

The sheer quantity was even greater than his last haul.

"Why did you buy so many?"

Even if they were disposable gloves, she wouldn't have stocked up like this.

Sienna suspected Jorrod's hands had magnets installed in them. He reached over again, gently wrapping his fingers around hers.

His thumb affectionately caressed the back of her hand as his deep, lazy voice filled the car. "Because our future is very long."

An unfiltered Jorrod Vaughn really had a knack for turning every single sentence into a swoon-worthy confession.
