I Ran From My Psycho Step-brother Straight Into The Alpha's Lap novel Chapter 184

**When Night Grows Softer Hope Returns To Lead Us by Asa Rowan Finn**

**Chapter 184**

He was oblivious to her presence, his gaze locked disdainfully on the wolf before him. “For the creator of the wolves, I had anticipated something far more formidable. Is this truly all you have to offer?” His voice dripped with contempt as he continued, “No wonder your wolves are such feeble, pitiful beings. Nothing will deter me from my mission now. Not you, and certainly not your wretched wolves. All I need to do is return and eliminate the Alpha and his beta, and then I’ll unleash my vampires to eradicate the rest of your pathetic pack.” His venomous words flowed freely, completely disregarding Talya’s existence.

Each hateful syllable he uttered ignited a fierce fire within Talya’s heart. As she stepped closer, she lifted her chin defiantly to meet his gaze. His eyes, dark as the abyss, were filled with unyielding hatred. “You will not harm anyone else!” she declared, her voice steady despite the turmoil raging inside her.

“And you believe you can be the one to stop me?” He threw his head back and let out a mocking laugh that echoed in the night. The moment his attention wavered, she seized the opportunity. With a swift, desperate motion, she plunged the knife deep into his heart. But before the blade could deliver its lethal blow, he hurled her away, sending her crashing to the ground several feet from him.

“Are you actually trying to kill me?” he roared, his fury palpable as he advanced toward her, each step radiating a menacing energy.

Talya’s heart raced as she scrambled to her feet, her mind racing. “Did you really think I could just stand by and let you destroy everything I love?” he taunted, a sinister grin spreading across his face. She frantically scanned her surroundings, searching for the knife she had lost. As he approached, she scooted backward, her breath quickening. “I will kill you; then I will take care of the Beta. Your two friends in the cells? They’ll be next. And let’s not forget your dear grandparents. I will make sure to end the lives of everyone you’ve ever cared about!”

At his chilling words, Talya’s head snapped up, her eyes wide with shock. “You think I don’t know about your family?” he sneered, leaning ominously over her. “I will savor every moment as I extinguish their lives, slowly and agonizingly,” he whispered cruelly, his breath hot against her ear.

In that moment, a surge of anger coursed through Talya, igniting her resolve. Her hand instinctively closed around the knife’s hilt, the weight of her emotions pushing her forward. She took a deep breath, closing her eyes for a fleeting second, and reached out to Liam, just as she had done in the vampire realm. She concentrated on the bond that connected them, feeling it pulse with energy.

With a fierce determination, she yanked on it, ignoring the repercussions of her actions for now. A rush of Liam’s power flooded through her, filling her with strength. Her hands trembled as she opened her eyes, fury igniting her spirit. “You should have killed me when you had the chance,” she hissed, channeling all the rage she felt into her words. With newfound strength, she drove the knife into his heart with the force of a wolf.

He jerked violently, and Talya clung desperately to the knife, knowing that the longer it remained embedded, the greater the damage would be. Vampires, just like wolves, could not withstand silver.

The vampire stared down at the blade protruding from his chest, shock replacing his earlier bravado. Talya twisted the knife, embedding it deeper into his heart, her body quaking with the combined power of Liam and her own fierce spirit.

He struggled to pull away, but she summoned every ounce of her strength to keep the knife firmly in place. Just then, the creator wolf joined her, using his weight to pin the vampire down. Talya gritted her teeth, holding fast as the vampire’s frantic movements began to wane. Gradually, he fell still, and she didn’t release her grip.
