Lady Flourish POV
The room felt different after Rhys told us about the access number.

Everyone had returned to work, but Amara had gone quiet. She sat near the window with the healer, staring at the floor while the rest of us studied the security files.
Damian stayed beside me. His hand occasionally brushed mine whenever another record appeared on the screen.
I noticed Amara watching us. At first, I ignored it. Then she looked away.
“Do you always stay that close to him?”
I turned.
Amara was looking directly at me now.
Damian glanced at her, but I answered before he could.
“He’s my husband.”
“I know.”
There was no warmth in the way she said it.
The healer shifted in her chair. Rhys suddenly became very interested in the archive screen.
Amara stood.
“You have everything,” she said.
I frowned. “What do you mean?”
you
“A husband. A company. A pack. People who know your name. People who look for when you disappear. You walk into a room and everyone already knows where you belong.”
Her voice grew sharper.
“I had none of that.”
I felt my wolf tense.

“No. Let me say it.”
She stepped closer.
“You had Mother. You had Father. You had a home. You grew up knowing who you were, even if they lied about parts of it. I was moved from place to place and told not to use my own name.”
“I didn’t know you existed.”
“That doesn’t make it fair.”
“I know.”
“You don’t know.”
The words came quickly now.
“You don’t know what it was like to hear other wolves talk about families and wonder what yours looked like. You don’t know what it feels like to spend years thinking you were unwanted because nobody would explain why you had to hide.”
Her wolf pushed against the room. A few nearby guards shifted their weight.
Damian’s Alpha presence rose immediately, but I reached for his arm.
“Don’t.”
He looked at me.
I shook my head.
Amara noticed.
“See?” she said. “Even now, he protects you.”
“He is trying to keep the room calm.”
“He always does that.”
She looked at Damian.
“He watches you every second. He speaks for you when he thinks you’re in danger. He would probably tear apart half the pack if someone touched you.”
Damian’s jaw tightened.

“Amara,” I said.
She looked back at me.
“I spent my whole life hidden, and you get this.”
“This?”
She gestured between Damian and me.
“This life.”
I didn’t answer immediately.
Because there was truth inside her anger.

I had spent years with people around me. Even when they betrayed me, I had known my place in the world. I had grown up in Stonehedge. I had built F–Tech. I had Damian. I had friends, employees, guards, and people who would answer when I called.
Amara had grown up without any of that.
But hearing her say it still hurt.
“I didn’t choose what happened to you,” I said.
“I know.”
“Then don’t blame me for surviving it.”
Her expression changed.
“I don’t blame you for surviving.”
“You sound like you do.”
“I blame you for having everything I wanted.”
The words landed harder than the others. Damian moved closer, but I stopped him again.
This time he listened without argument. Amara’s eyes were wet, but she refused to wipe them.
“You don’t even have to think about whether people will accept you,” she said. “They already do. They bow because of your blood. Your husband loves you. You have a company that can find anything. You have people willing to fight for you.”
I almost laughed, but there was nothing funny about it.

“My life isn’t what you think it is.”
“Maybe not. But it is still yours.”
She turned away.
I watched her shoulders rise and fall. My wolf spoke quietly.
“She is angry because she lost years.”
“I know.”
“Don’t fight her.”
I took a breath.
“I’m not going to.”
Amara looked over her shoulder.
“What?”
“I said I’m not going to fight you.”
Her face tightened.
“I don’t need your pity.”
“I’m not giving you pity.”
“Then what are you giving me?”
“The truth.”
I walked toward her, stopping far enough away that she wouldn’t feel cornered.
“You were denied a life you should have had. I was given a life built on lies. Both things can be
true.”
She stared at me.
“I don’t know how to be your sister,” I continued. “I don’t know what you need from me, and I won’t pretend I can fix what happened.”
She said nothing.

“I also won’t force you to love me because we’re related.”
Her eyes shifted.
